Hello; recently bought a Logitech M305 cordless mouse. My notebook system: msi cx620mx; Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. Mouse works normally without any problems. Exception: after hibernation / sleeping, mouse freezes. When I open Setpoint, I cannot see any wireless mouse. When I open Logitech re-connect software, clicking "advanced", I cannot find any receiver. Only after remouval of the USB receiver and re-installation of the receiver, I again get connection - often even then this is not feasible (message approximately "USB device not recognized"). Then only a re-start of the notebook helps. Somewhat annoying - any advice on how to solve the problem ? many thanks for any support. Kind regards Max Zeller

No, that definitely cannot be the solution. Going to the device manager, uninstalling USB drivers, uninstalling some programs and restarting the computer is NOT what I expected. As mentioned in my request, the mouse always works without any problems after a re-start of the notebook.

What I expect is some short program or procedure which allows to re-connect the wireless USB mouse during full operation.

    Regards

Ths problem occurs because of usb drvier conflict issue with your usb wireless dongle driver. For that go to device manager uninstall all usb drivers then it will automatic install all driver. Then go to control panel->add remove program and features then uninstall your wireleless keyboard and mouse driver then reinstall. Then restart and check. Also try different usb ports of computer for connecting the usb wireless dongle of keyboard. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a Dell laptop , 64 byte ,with a windows 7 home premium system. I bought a logitech M305 wireless mouse about a year ago and love it. Problem is with some games I play ( very simple ones- not a gear...

These things don't last forever. :(
I would suggest resetting the mouse by taking out the batteries, with the batteries out click the left and right mouse button for 10-15 seconds. Put the batteries back in. Also try a different USB port and run the Connection Utility.

personally i think optical mice, or ones with the red light underneath, are a waste of space. i bought a laser mouse and i have never had an issue with it being jerky or un responsive, in fact i experience the opposite. it's too sensitive, awesome for gaming and it works on ANY surface including glass!

Bought a logitech wireless mouse..cannot get it to work...need drivers ..I have 32-bit vista....serial no of mouse is M-RBS136

If you go to logitech.com/support and type in the type of mouse you have they will give you downloads so you can choose the vista 32 bit software. Its nice software and the mouse should run fine.

M305 Logitech Wireless mouse with nano stopped working on Laptop

This is a difficult one to answer so lets go through it.
You have a M305 thatrefuses to work and your OS says is returning an error.
You've quite rightly checked the Logitech site and found out that it appears to be a common fault as many people are reporting the same issue.
Logitech have not resolved the issue.

All the above are valid reason for retun to the vendor for replacement/refund.

However you WANT to replace a M305 (a model with know issues) with ANOTHER M305 which will have the same issues as Logitech have not resolved the problem.

I will have to think long and hard before giving a definative reply.

Logitech has excellent mice. Thats a nice one to. Go to logitech.com support choose the m305 model. You'll get that right away as its one of there newer models. After support download the setpoint software for windows 7. If that all works fine which it should look around the web for whats called uber software for logitech mice. Has added features and better funtionality. Its the talk of the mice world.
