SOURCE: I have a HP Printer
I'm confused.. Are you trying to print to a CD/DVD Drive? Try the print job again, and choose the C5500 as the print device.. Seems that there may be a problem with the print device set-up , and you may have to delete the printer, and reinstall it.
If the printer is designed to print a label on a CD / DVD. then you will have to use the programs provided to accomplish this, as it requires formatting parameters be sent along with the print request. I.E. You can not cut and paste directly to a CD / DVD printer..

that error is a Jam related error, check for paper jam, carriage jam then check that you have no cartridge problems. If you are using a UPS, try to plug the unit directly to the wall socket. hope that helps

Firstly, install the latest drivers for your printer. Which can be found on the manufactures website under the downloads/support section. Choose the version of Windows you are running, for the correct driver.
Next point is to confirm CD/DVD printing on this model with the aid of the user manual. It is possible that the ink cartridges that are currently installed in your printer are the reason why it is not able to print on CD/DVD disks. Certain ink cartridges are required to print on differnet mediums.
You may have grounds to claim warranty support, it may be of benifit to contact the store of purchase.
Take care!
