The faceplate will not open, nor will it eject the CD. This problem occurred a few months ago, but after a few hours started working again. It's now been a week since the buttons operated correctly. I know have a brand new CD in the unit that I can't get out and have no use of the display.

There is a corkscrew in the unit on the right side, you would hav to remove top cover to see it, its an easy fix, the corkscrew is made out to plastic, when it wears done it gets stuck so the unit wont open all the way and the sensor makes it go back up and then down several time, http://www.dualav.com/contact.html you might be able to get replacement parts, its an easy fix

I cant eject my cd

There is a indent in the front of the face of the radio. Try to push it with a sharp pencil or pen. It might reset the cd part and eject button might work again. If not you may have a cd stuck in it then you can try get tweezers and pull it out or a credit card and try to straighten it out. Those were some of the techniques I used when I was an installer for 12 yrs.

The only thing you can do is pull the player out and have it repaired.

I have a Dell Studio 1537 and my touch screen buttons at the top of my keyboard do not work anymore. When I touch them they still light up, but nothing happens. I even have a CD stuck in the disk player...

There is a cable connection for the hinge cover buttons, you can try to reseat the cable. If that doesn't resolve then the hinge cover will need replacement

As for the disk in the drive, Open MY Computer, right click the drive, Click EJECT

None of the buttons work. No music, can't eject and doesnt play the cd. Thanks in advance

HI, this is totally main board failure. try to unplug for 3 minutes then, plug back in after the three minute shutdown. if this continues, replace the main board(control).

I have a factory cd player in my 2001 ford explorer sport. usually i can put the cd in half way and it would automatically take it in. the cd player doesnt do that anymore. how do i fix that?

sorry but i dont think you can. it will be that your cd player is probably on its way out. does it eject cd's alot slower than what it used to? if it does this is definately the case. the little motor that does this will be failing, if it ejects at the same rate still i think the sensor that determines when to automatically pull the cd in will be shot

Not reading cd's anymore.

if you are a electronic technician
you do as follows (you are not consult a technician)
i am not sure, but in my point of view
its due to
  • the eye alignment/replacement problem
  • due to IC chip problem connected to eject button
  • due to dust
  1. first clean (for remove dust) the cd player circuit board, check the cd player is properly working
  2. first mark the position of the screw
  3. align the eye by using a very small screw driver, turn the screw under the eye unit
  4. insert disc and try to play, repeat the steps for getting a better result

Cd ejection

Look for a tiny, recessed Reset button on the front of the unit with the face removed. Press this button with a pen tip; it should spit out the CD and work correctly afterwards. This will also erase your station presets and audio settings.
