Well......did you get this Xbox 360 used? This normally happens when a xbox disk drive is switched with another....this is because every Xbox has a specific code written internally into the drive and if the code doesnt match the motherboards code then the system will not play games...only Dvds...sadly you cannot fix this unless you find the origonal disk drive
