If you still have the installation CD for Microsoft Office 2003 and the key that goes with it, you can
un-install the Trial version of Office 2007 and install Office 2003. Files saved Office 2007 format are not redable with Office 2003.
To preserve your files (the ones made with Office 2007) you must go through the following procedure:
- Open each file with the application that created it (Word, Excel, Powepoint, or what have you)
- If it its a Word 2007 file save it in Word2003 format
- If it is an Excel 2007 file save it in the Excel 2003 format.
- Etc.
This is only necessary if you intend to modify them at some later time.
If you only want to read (not modify) them you can still do that because Microsoft offers a free Word viewers.
Other free software you can use to open files created with Office 2007 is
OpenOffice.org 3. You might lose some formatting but the files will be accessible to you.
