Question about Zenith R49W36 49" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

ZeneithR49W36 question I saw you were helpful with someone elses problem..I am hoping you dont mind giving me some advice. The Tv i mentioned above looks as if some pressed a button to make it "widescreen"...but its so wide I cant see the entire picture. I can see everything on the left of the screen but not the right. The TV image looks "stretched" as if some one took each side and pulled the picture. I tried going in to the panorama settings and it does change it to a couple different settings but it still has that strectched look. Do you think my TV is dying? Or is this something that can be fixed?

Sounds like a defective capacitor or Diode in the deflection circuit. If you are able to test voltages you may be able to repair it very easially with testing the components in the deflection circuit. If not you may have to replace the circuit board.

What are the torque settings and sequence for toyoya4.7lcylheads

My advice is that you purchase a quality repair manual as that most modern manufacturers have very specific procedures for removing and installing cylinder heads. Disregarding those procedures can damage the head and possibly the block itself. Not to mention leading to repeat failures and I'm guessing you don't want to repeat this job within your next 4 or 5 oil changes give or take. Also it comes to mind although second nature to myself, I hope you checked the block deck surface and the head for warpage deflection cracking scorching etc because it dont matter how good your head gaskets are if the components dont meet service limit its just going to be a repeat failure. Sorry I couldn't give you specific info Im not really a Toyota guy, but I hope you take my advice and save yourself some money and the headache of having to do it again.

Handle on UPVC door needs replacing. Have been quoted 230 Euro. Is this a DIY job?

Dont advise DIY on chain saws they are small and pain in the *** to work on every time I endulge seems something else goes wrong with it, I dont mind the bigger things(lawn mower engines etc.) but not weed wackers, chain saws, or leaf blowers.

Thanks for the moral advice but Dont be rude...

Im not attacking your character, I can get it open for you but do you want to live with the knowledge that you 'stole' someones iphone what costs a 'ton' of money for someone.

its possible that the phone is reported stolen and the imei number might have been blocked so it doesn't work with any service provider anymore.

What you give comes back to you, if you hit someone he will hit you back. If you help someone he will help you back.

Horizontal Overscan

Horizontal overscanning is due to electrical disturbance in deflection area. Due to dry contacts in soldered points in high voltage area. This can be sorted out by the technical person only. If you are a technician check the above mentioned tips. Also check flyback capacitors and damper diodes in deflection section.
