Just go to the website and click on the 'download manual' link on the right side. Here is the page on Clarion USA, for your cd player. http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2005/audio/source_units/cd/DXZ555MP/us-en-product-pf_1133851137392.html There you can download your owners or installation manual in PDF for free. Nice to deal with a company like them isn't it?
First thing to suspect would be the antenna cable or antenna. Check it is connected properly to the back of the unit, and check the cable all the way along to the antenna - these are prone to internal corrosion when they get a bit old. Easiest way to check is to get a new antenna and cable (they are cheap) and plug it in directly to the back of the unit.
Check the ground connection of the unit is good - any terminals might need a clean up - disconnect the battery first.
These guys have a service manual for sale;
so do these;
here's the link for a free download of the owner's manual (it says is for the 635, but is also for the 634);
Hope this helps :)
Your best bet is to find a local professional stereo installer shop that carries that unit. Many will let you look through the user manual of one of thier display units if you ask.
And remember never to buy a product from a company that lists the product in thier catalog but leaves that unit out of thier online manual download and support site.
