My Whirlpool Freezer/Refrigerator model# ET19RMXGW02 is not keeping items cold. The ice maker is not working. There is frost in on the back wall of the freezer but objects like ice cream are all soft. ...

your evaporator coil behind this frost on the wall is iced up and you cant blow cold air through solid ice, remove this panel and defrost the coil, then check the defrost heating element below the coil, the defrost thermostat located on the coil or the defrost timer itself for being defective

Mod ED27DQ side by side refrigerator-Freezer works fine-refrigerator will not cool below 45 degrees

check the damper door located between the freezer and refrigerator compartment,if it is iced up it cannot open up and let cold air into refrigerator compartment from the freezer compartment, deice this part and then adjust the refrigerators cold control and see that the door opens and closes with controls adjustment

New whirlpool refrig. freezer ok at 0 but refrig

The freezer get the first crack at cooling and combination units have a fan and adjustable vents to steal some of the cooling capacity for the refrigerator. The vent are normally located in the back of the refrigerator compartment and with these, you can balance the cooling capacity between freezer and fridge. I recommend you swap your thermometer back and forth until you get the balance you want; typically the freezer should be at 5 degrees F or below and the fridge at 35-40 degrees F. Adjusting the control for temperature and having the vents set to supply the cold air you want in each compartment should give you the range you want in each.

Hello, I have a Whirlpool refrigerator that is just over a year old (Model #ER8YHMXSB00). The freezer seems to be working fine but the refrigerator will not cool below approx. 50 deg F. This just started...

Hi,

Refrigerators and Freezer combination units have one common compressor and coolant for both units. If the refrigerator section is not getting cold I would check the following.
The cold zone is not blocked by a bag or box? The cold zone would be the coldest part of the refrigerator which vents the cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator.
Is the fan working on the refrigerator to vent the cold air to the refrigerator? You should be able to hear it when you hold the door switch.
The thermostat is not working which I have found most common is the thermistor is not registering the correct temperature causing the fan not to turn on.

WHIRLPOOL TOP FREEZER ET1WTKXKQ01. NOT COLD ENOUGH

You need to look inside the freezer at the rear wall cover and see if it is frosted over. If your refrigerator is not defrosting that can cause the refrigerator side and the freezer side also not to cool to the desired temp.
