I have a memory card error problem
i have the E51 error problem with my canon digi camera.i live in the north west..what should i do..i herd that the US do free repairs for this kind of problem???

This is a known "Service Notice" issue announced by Canon.
You'll notice thousands of consumers reporting the exact same problem including myself.
It takes too long to power on the camera, then when it does, it won't take any pictures then after 10 sec or so, "'Memory Card Error" displays. Hitting menu button does not work nor Preview/Playback mode (green light flashes). Camera powers off in 2 min.
Here's THE Solution from Canon - the phone customer rep was super helpful and issued a free UPS return shipping label along with instructions for free repair:

Since this is a known issue, if it indeed is this issue, Canon will repair it regardless of warranty validity. It takes 2 - 2.5 weeks from shipping out your camera to get it back repaired. Hope this resolves your issue as well!

The ISSUE is that the Clock Coin Battery expired inside the camera thereby not properly able to read data from the memory card.
