Yes, blank screen all of a sudden, with a blinking red light. My camera will flash and take a picture, but I can't see anything but black on the screen. The problem you are describing is a problem with one of the chips in the camera that controls image processing. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

so u are saying that ur camera is taking pics perfectly but u r unable to see them on lcd but u can see them on PC is that so then ur LCD is faulty offcourse is there any button to toggle lcd on/off if it doesnt help then my dear get it replaced
but if u can see some signs on lcd like info or something then my friend the problem is bigger than u think it is CCD failure

A lens that won't retrac usually means that one of the gears has either come out or is off line and not meshing. Have to get it repaired. But worst case would be the board has fried.
