For the dryer to take to long to dry is usually a sign of the vent duct work being restricted with lint. Check the vent hose, outside vent door, and the internal duct for lint buildup.

May Maytag dyer Performa Model number PYE3300AYW will not start the light in the dryer is off i turned to turn off and on the breaker but nothing happens. My question is that if the light needs to be...

no the light has nothing to do with the dryer not running, sounds like a breaker issue. You will need a multimeter and some screwdrivers. first make sure that the breaker has power, you will need to take the front panel off, then with the meter check for your 220 volts at the breaker(where the wires are hooked up), next check for voltage at the outlet, if all these have power then it is in the dryers cord, you will need to move the dryer out and remove the plate and check for voltage, if it does then you will have to trace it into the dryer. Good Luck Tim

No power to the dryer.just stopped working no waring maytag pye3300ayw

If there is no power at the wall outlet ... lease check your power panel for a tripped circuit. Reset it by moving the handle to the off position and back to the on position. If you turn it on and it trips again, you need a professional electrician to repair the short that evidently exists somewhere in the line.

Pye3300ayw maytag elect dryer continues to blow thermo fuses

You need to make sure you have no restriction with the exhaust behind the dryer. Make sure line isn't making too many turns and proper is straight to the wall. Check to make sure you have exhaust to outside. If not the tips on dryer too long to dry is a fantastic way to clear the exhaust. Hope this helps.

How to lift the top of Maytag perfoma PYE3300AYW?

You will only need a putty knife. Unplug the dryer. In between the front panel and top there are 2 clips holding the top down on the left and right side. The clips will need to be depressed one at a time toward the back of the dryer and lift up on the top at the same time. The thermal fuses are both located on the element mounting assembly on the back top of the dryer. They will measure 0 ohms if good. Click this link, schematic diagram, number 3 is a picture of one of the clips. They are located anywhere from 2 to 6 inches in from sides of the washer.
Thank you.

Maytag PYE3300AYW Elec Dryer Runs, But No Heat

hello kellygubser,
If you are sure the thermal switch is ok.. have you checked the high temp ( bi metal snap switch) too? Here is a link to the wiring diagram of your dryer. You can see that there are a few other temp switches in circuit of the heating element that would disble it.. Hope this helps

If you have 240 volts going to the dryer the you will have a problem with the termal limiter, a set of contacts (normally closed) in the motor or your push button. Let go with the high limit since the pushbutton or the contacts are not in use when the motor is running.

Maytag dryer PYE3300AYW Continuously runs

jefo, it sounds to me like your timer is not advancing. Does it move at all or stay in place? In what you are saying it will stop when you turn it to off, I would think it could be the timer that is the problem. Part # 53-1810.
