Stereo quit putting out sound

if it was working, then stopped, it may be a grounded speaker or speaker wire. If a speaker is blown, you may have damaged the internal amplifier. It will need repair.
You may have just hit a tone adjustment button like FIE or EQ where the settings at each frequency are changed based on the source you are listening to. If its not a big deal, pull the radio fuse and wait 5 minutes... or locate the reset button - usually behind the faceplate and start from scratch. This way you will know it wasnt a button pressed on accident

Pioneer DEH-P6500R

It's because the second power wire needs a constant hot feed. The yellow wire from the wire clip in the back of the stereo is your constant, so you need to find a powered wire coming from the bundle of wires in your dash that will produce electricity both while the car is on and while the car is off. Use a simple ground/light current tester to find the wire in the dash or go buy a Haynes Manual for your car and consult the wire diagrams in the book. Once you get that constant current hooked up, your radio will save its memory when you turn off the car. Good luck.

Cellular mute button

The yellow/black wire at the back of the head unit may be grounded. Make sure it's not pinched or shorting on anything.
