The button in the center of the mode/menu ring is really a joystick. you can press it straight in (like a button), or apply pressure to the sides to go up/down/left/right.

How do I set the time and date on a Panasonic DMC-LZ4

1. Press the menu/set button. This will bring up a menu.
2. Press arrow left (the button left of the menu/set button).
3. Press arrow down (the button below the menu/set button). This will select the setup menu (so, a wrench icon should be brighter than an icon of a camera).
4. Press arrow up or down (these buttons are above and below the menu/set button respectively) to highlight clock set.
5. When clock set is highlighted press the right arrow button (button right of the menu/set button).
6. Press right or left to select what settings you want to change.
7. Press up or down to get numbers according as you want them.
8. Repeat 6. and 7. as desired.
9. Press menu/set several times to exit menu options.

You can go to: www.sonystyle.com for support to download manuals. On you camera press the menu button. Use the control button arrow keys to scroll over to the wrench icon. Then continue to scroll over to page 2. Scroll down to the language bar using the cotrol button down arrow key. When the language bar highlights press the center control button to execute the selection. A menu will appear that you can scroll up/down with the control button arrow key to highlight your language. Then press the center control button to execute the selection.

Want to change the language from japan to english

With the camera turned on, press the MENU button. Use the left/right arrows to move to the Setup2 tab (tools with the number 2). The language setting is the first item on this menu. With the first item highlighted, press the SET button. You should see fifteen languages displayed on the LCD. Using the arrow keys, scroll to ENGLISH then press the SET button. Press the MENU button again to exit.

Deleting images

Generally your camera will have a main menu, which lists this as an option.

Look for a menu button on your digital camera. While the camera is on, press this button, and cycle through the options that appear, watching for a listing which says something like "Erase all".

Usually there will be another button or set of buttons that have arrows on them, and let you move up and down among the listed options. Press the up or down button (or the right/left button, whichever applies to your camera), until the "Erase all" option is highlighted.

There should also be a button on your camera that says something like "Ok" or "Function Set"; no matter what it's called, the important thing is that it is NOT one of the buttons which either opens the menu listings (the one I'm describing as the "menu" button, regardless of what your camera calls it), or moves between menu items (the up/down/left/right buttons). Once you have found the menu item for "Erase all", and have highlighted it, press this button.

You will probably get a message asking you to verify your choice, since once the photos are deleted from your camera, you won't be able to retrieve them, so most cameras will ask you to confirm any erasing you do, whether it's just one picture, or all the pictures in your camera's memory/storage. You confirm the deletion by pressing the same button that you used to start the deletion process.

So, to recap:

1) Turn the camera on.
2) Find and press the "Menu" button.
3) Find and press the arrow/next button until you see a menu item saying something like "Erase all".
4) Find and press the "OK" button -- or whatever button will get the camera to accept the menu item selection you've made.
5) If the camera asks you to confirm your choice, use the arrow/direction keys to highlight the "Yes" or "OK" option in the confirmation window.
6) Press the same button you used to start the process ("OK" or "Function Set"), one more time to confirm your choice.
7) The camera should now delete all of the photos in its memory.

WARNING: DO NOT DELETE YOUR PHOTOS UNTIL YOU'VE DOWNLOADED THEM, UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT YOU'LL NEVER WANT THEM. It is always better to have an extra backup of your pictures than to permanently lose something you can't replace.

If anyone else has used the camera, it's best to check with them to make sure that they've downloaded their pictures off of the camera, before doing a full delete of all pictures on the camera.

Most cameras will also let you individually delete pictures that came out badly, or where you accidentally took a picture you didn't mean to take. If you're not sure what else is in the camera's memory, it's always wisest to use this method, instead of deleting all the pictures at once.

How do I tranfer pictures from Kodak easyshare cx7300 built-in memory to a SD card?

Hi there, welcome to FixYa. I can explain that for you.

1) Put your card in the camera and format the card.
2) Go into the menu and set the camera's image storage location to the internal memory.

Then do this:
1) Press the Review button.
2) Press the Menu button.
3) Scroll up or down to highlight Copy.
4) Press the Ok button.
5) Press up or down to highlight an option
5) ALL to move everything (pictures & video) to the other location (the card). - Picture or Video to move the current item to the card if you just want to move one thing at a time.

By the way. This will only COPY the images or videos to a card. They will still be in the camera's internal memory. If you want to delete them you have to follow the Delete images procedure.

To Delete:
1) Press the Review button
2) Scroll Left or Right to find a picture.
3) Press Delete button
4) Scroll Up or Down to highlight an option.
The ALL option will delete everything.
5) Highlight Exit and Press the Ok button.

That will cover it. Thanks for coming to FixYa and feel free to rate my solution.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8

Hi,

I have an FZ7, so the following may or may not work with the FZ8:

Turn on the camera. Press the button labeled "MENU SET".
Then press the left arrow button and the down arrow button.

Now press the right arrow.

In the menu that comes up, scroll with the up and down buttons until an ICON OF A PERSON TALKING becomes visible. The icon is to the left of the menu item's name.

Select this menu item by highlighting it, and then press the right button. Now you can select the desired language.
