Look for an airflow blockage. Be sure lint filter is cleaned and if lint is accumulated in the air stream path, take a vacuum or brush and clean it out. Dirt and lint are a dryer's worst enemy.
You may need to reset the breaker for the heating elements or clean and check the continuity contacts. Go to

This forum will work you through your problem
The thermal fuse only shuts off the elements if the proper air flow isn't acheived. If the clothes are hot but still damp after the drying cycle then you have a blockage in the dryer exhaust either at the hose at the back of the machine or in the lint filter area. Check both and clean and your problem should be solved.
It sounds like you could have a hi limit thermostat problem. This can cause serious problem such as dryer fires since the element may still be operating without the air flow needed while the dryer is running. Located on the element housing, this thermostat gauges the temperature of element and shuts it off when the desired temperature is reached. part number is 694674. And should be replaced by a technician. Hope this helps
Hi, If the dryer heats but will not advance in either time or auto cycles, you need to change the timer. You can test to see if the timer is getting voltage. Remove the top rear panel and locate the two wires going to the timer motor. There should be 120V when the dryer is running in time dry. Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.
A fellow once told me to do the simple things first. Is the filter and the area where the filter goes in completely clear of lint? Is the outlet discharging air in large or reduced amounts? Make sure all is clean and flowing alot of air. Oh, and check this before replacing other parts....turn both breakers off and then back on. You may be running on 110 volts which will cause half of some heat elements from working at all or from working at full capacity. If you've still got a problem and the clothes have been spun to mild dampness by your washer, you may need either a new element or new thermostat.
First try cleaning the moisture sensors with rubbing alcohol,
these are two silver colored strips located inside the drier just below the
lint cleanout
Those are likely possibilities. Also check the wiring for disconnected or burned terminals especially in areas that get hot. The element comes out easily to visually check it for breaks. If that's OK I'd look at the safety thermostat.
You will need an ohmmeter to check the element and the hi limit thermostat and the non resetable thermal fuse. These are all axcessed through the rear panel if the dryer.
