On the pin side of the plug there is a plastic cover which you lever out, and the fuse usually comes out with it. If you don't have a test meter to check the fuse then either Take a known working fuse from a working appliance and put that in the plug or take the fuse from the plug and put that in a known working appliance oplug and see if it works. In my experience it is rarely the fuse and more likely to be a connection in the kettle base or the thermal cutout in the kettle has fused.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

After changing water filter in side by side fridge, dispensed water still had mold floating in it. I have flushed the dispenser extensively. Is there a way to flush this stuff out of lines after the...

first check the water inlet tap
if the water from the tap does not has moulds then your refrigerator has moulds in the water line
for this you need to dispense water regularly untill the moulds gets lesser and lesser

also observe if that mould is really a mould or something is coming off your refrigerator dispenser
could be silica from previous filter
cannot confirm unless you observe the mould.

Thanks

Plugged my Dyson in this morning, switched it on and power came on for not even a second and died. No power what so ever to dyson - checked my house sockets, changed fuse. Still not working - dead as a...

It is either your power cable, cable rewind mechanism or your motor.
Try switching it on, and wiggling the lead near the plug and see if it fires up. If it does, remove the moulded plug and fit a standard plug.
If not, likely suspect is the motor or the cable rewind mechanism. Neither are an amateur job. If you are in the UK, you could send it to Manchester Dyson for either to be fixed. Carriage will cost you about £10 each way. A motor replacement will cost around £65 and a cable rewind mechanism about £45-£50.

I have just purchased a 1210 second hand, there's no power going to the unit, I have changed the fuse, still no joy, can someone help me.

Hiya, first check the voltage is correct (on the back labels etc) there are a stack of 110/220 units and tend to travle cross border. Check the plug also, if its the old 2 pin moulded, change it for a new one 3 pin etc

If not there in the power supply itself is dodge and have to go in to someone. Should be 2 much of a big deal, but get a quote first.

Fused plug

If it is a moulded plug you will need to chop it off and wire on a standard 3 pin plug(if you are qualifiedor capable of doing so ) If its in guarantee though do not do this. There must be a reason it blew the fuse. If in guarantee get it repaired under the terms of the guarantee.

Everytime I turn on oil heater it breaks circuit in house possibly a fues gone but plug is moulded?

Sounds like a short circuit/ Or a weak breaker. If there were a fuse in the heater it would not trip the breaker because the circuit would be open with a blown fuse. To check the unit from the plug use an ohm meter and test from each terminal on the plug to the half rounded ground. You should have no reading at this point. If you do there is a short in the unit.

Wont turn on

most moulded plastic plugs have a rectangular piece of plastic that sits inbetween the 3 pins. Using a flat bladed screwdriver you can prise this out and remove the fuse that sits underneath.

Best way to check if the fuse is bad is with a multimeter, however if it is a clear glass fuse you should be able to see if the thread inside is broken. Since fuses are so cheap you are as well putting a new one in anyway, however you must be careful to replace it with a fuse that has the same current rating. If you are unsure take the old one to an electrical shop with you and the staff will help you.
