Question about Whirlpool LSB6200KQ Top Load Washer
I have a Whirlpool top loader washing machine about 14 years old. It washes fine but when it starts spinning it gets violently out of balance. You can see the front panel of the machine being hit by the drum. If you move the load around inside, it gets slightly better but still makes a lot of noise. I have the machine firmly set on all four feet, but it actually feels as if there is not enough resistance on the drum. I turned it over and expected to fine some broken springs or something but was rather dissapointed to see nothing wrong.
First change the springs - both the leveling and suspension. You may also need to change a few other parts on the brake and drive tube including the thrust ring. But replace the springs and let see what happens.
