When EE:EE is displayed on remote control , press "Energy Save" &"Zone Control" buttons simultaneously for longer than 3 secs. The error code will then be displayed on the LCD.After getting error code, please write here to get solution. Thanks.
Why should I tell you how I fixed the problem for free if you can't even tell me how to solve this problem for free. I just wanted to know what the error code meant and if it can be fixed or is the unit junk.
Our maytag window air conditioner (12,000 BTU; model#M^Y12FB-J changes the temperature on its own. And it always goes up in temperature as high as 88 degrees and of course then it isn't cooling at all. I checked to see if frost or ice had collected on the copper tubing but it hasn't. I unplugged it for 1 hour to see if it would reset but that didn't help. It is about 2 years old. When it first happened, it seemed that if I used the remote it would stay at the right temp., but now it doesn't matter. It's hot and humid in my house - help! Susie
