You won't find anything on the circuitry, not even from Dell. I was chatting with a tech Friend the other day on the same issue for a Dell machine. He had traced the chip down on the board and asked if I had one or could find one. After looking through all my resources and talking to a Dell tech that I use, found nothing. The Dell tech that I use couldn't find anything on the specific chip with his Dell resources and told me that motherboard replacement was the only option. Which I already knew. I've tried replacing the chip before with chips from dead parts boards that I have, and have only had about a 15% success rate. The chip replacement is a real nightmare, involves soldiering on the board under the chip. So, I'm sorry, but there's no info on this. I may be able to get you break down diagrams and instructions for your machine if you want to replace the board yourself. Let me know.

Hello..The icon of the sound from the control panel has fainted..I cant fix it..In the Sound properties it says that there is not a device

Check for the audio drivers if it is installed correctly.

1. Go to Device Manager 2. Try to look for other devices (if there are any) 3. If there are no audio drivers you may install it using the Motherboard disk if the speaker jack connects to the Mainboard 4. If you have a sound card you may install it using the sound card disk 5. If you dont have any refer to the mainboard's website and download the drivers from there

It turns on and goes off in about 5sec

From my experience your mainboard is going into short circuit protection mode, give your mainboard a good clean. Use a paint brush and a vacuum. Dust attracts moisture and therefore you get a short circuit. I have also found that the USB ports can become damaged and therefore the contacts touch, giving you a short circuit, check that the contacts are apart and are not touching.

Hope all goes well!

COMPUTER WON'T EVEN BOOT UP

PLEASE READ TO END BEFORE TRYING!!!
Did you try the simple fix? First thing is to unplug the computer and then push the power button. Plug the computer back in and then hit the power button again. Did it start? Hopefully. If not and its a desktop, take the side cover off and look at the mainboard. Are the capacitors all flat on top? If any of the capacitors are bulging on top your mainboard is probably going to need to be replace. If not, pull the power connector off of the mainboard. Now take a technicians secret tool (paper clip) and bend it around in a loop and connect the green and one black wire from that connector. This will automatically turn the power supply on if its not defective. This is the simplest of tests for the power supply and will not tell you if you are getting the correct voltages but it will at least let you know if it works at all. Sometimes the fan will come on but the fan will turn slower than usual. This indicates a bad power supply as well. If the power supply is not the problem, plug the power supply back in and unplug all the drives from the mainboard. Now try to power up the computer. If it still doesnt start, remove your RAM and try to power up. If that doesnt work remove all the plug in cards. Try to power up again. If that doesnt work then its probably the Mainboard or CPU.

Hope this helps. If it does please rate it. Thanks...

T41 appears to be dead. I see the power light but

Good day sir, there are several resons why a laptop wont power up, or wont display a thing.
  1. Memory is bad so make sure to check for memory module.
  2. The battery is bad, check you battery with other similar laptop.
  3. The power supply/charger is bad.
  4. There seem to be a shorted circuit board on your laptop ground chassis. For you to test it, you should dissassemble the laptop and one by one reassemble it again.
  5. Mainboard, sad to say if everything else fails, the mainboard is the last culprit. better visit your local service center.
hope this helps, please update me if you may have any progress report on your laptop, thanks

How can i make a miror raid using intel s5000vsa mainboard?

I can understand that we are talking about Gaming, but I cannot visualize what you exactly want to do. Please help me so I can help you. I will also need the computer name, model number and MB ID. You will find it in between the white PCI sockets, the lettering is very profound and you cannot miss it. I need you to explain to me what is a raid and a miror raid. If you are making this change due to a failure and it is an improvement, please let me know that. I don't have much to do with Gaming and very few of the MB producers do meet the special requirements. I just had a thought: all circuits are either parallel or series. Then this means that you want to have the hard disks to follow one after the other, so you have a large enough "single" HDD. If this is what you want, we can fix you up in no time. Please communicate with me by sending the communication directly to me arzobconst@yahoo.com We thank you for considering our service... No response after restart

This problem of yours I had with different mothboards..I must say ..there some problems to check.
first..and the most important is the video card problem..it ussualy gives theese signs of problem..scond as importance...and the most painful is teh mainboard itself, having a short circuit or some conectionion interupted.,which leads to the video cared..
and after that...the ramm dimms can be damaged and also the hdd sometimes give some kind of problems...
However, from my experience..I say that..the mainboard is 70% of cases faulty..and 30% the video card...
try to make  a bios update...but I dont think will solve the problem...
I have a similar model...K9A Platinum with ati chipset...had lots of problems too...
