Try a system restore/recovery to a date before this issue. Have you done any hardware or software changes or updates? Graphics updates. Shut down, unplug, remove battery, plug in boot and follow this procedure: Please restart your computer, and hold down the F8 key before the Windows logo appears. On theAdvanced Boot Options select Repair your computer, and then press Enter. Select a user name, type the password, and then click OK. Try changing the "stack flu sensor". It could be the sensor is bad or the sensor could be detecting a bigger problem. The sensor can not be jumped out.

Computer restarts randomly

If you are using Windows (XP, Vista or 7) then open the Computer properties by clicking on the Computer icon (on desktop or start menu) then go to the Advanced page tab and check if you have the option to automatically restart the system set on in the Startup and Recovery Settings section. If this is on, then Windows will restart the system any time that a critical error is encountered.

The other place to check is in the Windows Event logs (system log) provided this option is enabled.
You should be able to access the event logs by right clicking on the Computer icon and then selecting the Manage option followed by opening the Event viewer where you should look for any critical, error or warning entries that may occur at the times when the computer restarts itself (or posted immediately when it restarts).

Hey I am trying to log on to my laptop and for some reason FORGOT my password HELP PLS

When you boot up to the log in screen type in administrator as user to log in if you cant log in

Restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there

if this fails to remove your password

The most common way that we know on how to reset or clear the BIOS password is to physically remove the power from the computer by disconnecting the power plug and then removing the Cmos battery for 30 minutes from the motherboard. Another way is to reset the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard itself. Both of the 2 methods mentioned works because most motherboards use a battery to sustain the BIOS/CMOS settings for the motherboards PROM chip. So by cutting off cmos the battery power, the BIOS/CMOS settings will be erased.

what operating system and type of computer???

hope this helps you

when was the last time your computer worked fine? run system restore and choose a restore point prior to when the issue started. if no restore point is available, open run and enter 'msconfig', go to startup and disable unecessary startup programs. also open the prefetch folder and delete its contents. then restart your system. if it's still slow, i suggest you backup your files and reinstall windows. make sure that you operate the laptop on a flat surface to avoid any ventilation blockage. hope it'll help. good day. =)'

My computer won't let me stay logged in.

Try this: Start it in safe mode (hit the F8 key repeatedly on startup--as soon as you see anything on the screen) and then try a system restore back to before it stopped working.
You can also run msconfig from the command line and remove all the items from startup (uncheck them) to see if one of them is causing the problems you are having. I've seen this behavior in systems infected with viruses or programs that cause it to be unstable.
