Z213B Clock Radio

We can't figure out how to reset the "set" radio station buttons. A power failure wiped out our settings, and the radio alarm requires a set station.

I am trying to set my preset radio stations and no logical buttons on top to do this... any suggestions from anyone?  Zenith isn't supporting this product anymore that I know of.

    Thanks!

Zenith Z213 Digital Stereo Clock Radio with TV, Weather Band and Remote Control

    Preset Station Memories

Note: To change the display from clock to radio frequency, press the Display button.

This radio has a total of 37 preset station memories: 10 AM, 10 FM, 10 TV, and 7 Weather band that can be used to store you favorite stations for immediate recall. To enter stations in the memories, proceed as follows:

    1. Tune to the first station you wish to memorize.

    2. While the station frequency appears on the display (example: FM 98.7 MHz), press the Memo Set button once. The PRESET indictor flashes in the display.

    3. While the PRESET indicator is flashing, press one of the Preset buttons on the control panel (example 1). 1 appears in the display.

    4. Press the Memo Set button again to enter the station in preset memory 1.

    5. After 5 seconds, the display changes from radio frequency to clock time, but the preset memory number remains in the display.

To preset additional stations, repeat steps 1thru 4 selecting a different preset number each time. To select preset numbers 1 thru 5, simple press the appropriate button. To select preset numbers 6 thru 10, press the +5 button first and then press 1 thru 5 buttons. For example, to select preset number 6, press +5 and then press 1.

After you have preset up to 10 stations on one band, you may select another band and preset up to 10 stations on that band in the same manner. You may preset a total of 37 stations, but no more than 10 per band and 7 for Weather.

    Recalling Preset Station

    1. Turn the radio ‘On’ and select the desired band.

    2. Press one of the preset buttons on the control panel to select the desired station. To select presets 6 thru 10, press the +5 button first and then press one of the Preset buttons.

You may also select presets by pressing Preset Up button on the remote handset. Each press advances the tuner to the next preset.

    Changing Preset Stations

To change a preset station, simply enter a new station into the preset number you wish to change. The new station will be “remembered” and the previous station will be “forgotten”.

Some auto stores and Radio Shack have an antennae booster that plugs in between the antennae wire and your radio. It powers from the fuse block.

I have a Rowe R80 jukebox and after moving it it has no sound through the speakers I am in New Zealand

Well, in addition to all the fine suggestions that are here, I would like to add the simple and easy things that may have happened during the move.

IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING A LOUD POP WHEN THE MACHINE IS POWERED ON.......

1) Make sure that the wires on the terminals below are still connected to the screws. There is one ground and one each for left and right. The lower the tap the lower the (max) volume of the jukebox. If they are not connected there will be no sound.

There is a jumpers on the terminal strip where the volume control connects. Make sure that these connections are correct and tight. Also make sure that the jumpers did not fall off.

If you are getting the loud pop in the speakers when the power is turned on .....

Check the plug on the side of the mechanism, just below the back of the tone are.(looks like a little tube socket) Check to see that it is connected to the mech and the CORRECT PLACE on the amplifier. It mat be possible to have this end in the wrong place. bf77613e-82a3-4e37-b8fe-cc80f4d4dbcb.jpg

Check all all your connections against the pic.

I hope this was helpful.

It looks like your problem might be an easy fix, at least. If the gear train between the motor and clock got stripped, you'd be in a bit more trouble. If the motor just isn't spinning, remove it from the side of the clock housing. There are 2 screws (or nuts) holding it in place. When you get it off, the cover for the motor will also be off. Apply some 3 in 1 oil, or perhaps just a tiny bit of penetrating oil, and give it a spin. From what I've read, it should do just fine. A lot of people use wd40, but I understand that can gum up over time.

This is a "at your own risk" type of repair, but as long as you unplug it before dismantling the radio, I think you'll be fine.

Your radio should have come with a receiver of some sort for the radio signals to set itself. I had this same issue with my clock when the battery in the receiver died ... try replacing this too. It took me forever to figure out what it was because I had forgotten that it had its own radio receiver ... then once I remembered it existed, I had to find it, but replacing the battery fixed the problem. Hope that helps :-)
