Question about Pioneer AVIC-D2 In-dash Car Audio Stereo CD player with navigation and 6.5" video screen - Free UPS ... Car Video Player
I bought a used car that has a pioneer avic d2 system. I am not able to enter a new address. On the destination screen a lot of the buttons are dark grey (can not be accessed). Is there anything I can do?
Pioneer AVIC-D1 Touch Screen Recalibration
If your pioneer AVIC car navigation unit does not register your touches or the wrong button is “pressed”, you need to re-calibrate your screen’s digitizer.
1-Hold the Eject button down until the face of the unit drops all the way
2-Using a pen hold down the reset button (just above the joystick) and the navigation disc eject simultaneously.
3-Release the reset button.
4-Release the dvd eject button next. The display will read “press reset”
5-Push the joystick up two times.
6-Push the joystick down twice.
7-Press the joystick in.
8-The service menu will appear after a short pause. You can navigate the service menu using the joystick.
9-Chose the first menu option and press in on the joystick.
10-Trace the screen with a stylus.
11-"P.ADJ" is the back button
12-Chose the second menu item in order to calibrate the touch screen. Use a stylus again and tap the "+" sign on the screen. (You may have to touch slightly off center if the digitizer is damaged. In which case things will still be off but it will be much better.)
