Check your username & password, and make sure that you are authorized to access the server.
If your password & username are correct, there might be a network problem that prevents you from connecting to the machine where the MySQL server is running. To make sure that they are no network failures, click on the "ping" button.
This will "Ping" the MySQL server host. If the host is available (no network failure), you will
receive a message similar to this -
Reply from 127.0.0.1: Time=0ms TTL=128 Reply from 127.0.0.1: Time=1ms TTL=128
If you don't it means there's a problem with the network.

I have tried to make sure that Windows firewall is open and receiving port 3306 as well as Norton firewall .. but still getting error and even now a reply stating that do I really want to use 3306 - so I have tried other ports available and NO good response as of yet ...
