Hello, I tried this for 2 hours at a buddies place, I have now found on the internet codes from 0000 to 0007 to try. I did try 0000 but that did not work. One of these might function? Good luck

So the OSD works and we have no info regarding whatever else you have that involves video. You could revisit the setup for the one(s) that aren't working.
If it is a relatively new TV you should use an optical digital audio cable. These are often called "toslink" cables. Plug one end into the "digital audio out" port of your TV, and the other into a free toslink port on the receiver (there are two on the back and a third on the front of the 608).
You should then change the settings on your samsung tv to:
- turn the digital audio (s/pdif) output on
- allow bitstream output over s/pdif
- turn the tv speaker off
I am not sure which model Samsung you have, so I can't go into great detail, but I'm sure you will be able to find the relevant settings, most likely under "sound" in your system menu.
lastly, you will probably want to use the input assign page of the onkyo on-screen menu to assign whichever input you use to your TV, and change its name accordingly.
