My Panasonic DMR-EX77EB has problem with background on replay changing from normal colour to garish green, and there's no evident way of correcting problem. Any thoughts? Al Webb/Croughton, England NN13 5LU

I traced the apparent problem to a SCART cable between the DVD recorder and the TV set. I disconnected it, wiped down the points and reconnected it. The problem appears to have vanished straightway, and nearly 24 hours later the system is still working normally. It could be that others have had similar SCART problems and you may find my experience useful. Anyway, thanks for being there even if not needed, and I'll keep you in mind futurely if there are other problems.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Please check your Blue and Red component cables on both the recorder and your TV. One is probably loose.

Panasonic DMR-EX77EB - Multi Region Code

Hi,
I am not aware of any codes that can make it region free. There are however alternatives. One is to send it off to get it chipped and the other option (which I think is more preferable) is to buy a chipped remote control (you can buy it here).

White colour displaying as pink on DVD recorder DMR-EX77EB, problem just started a few weeks ago.

Very similar problem with my DMR-EZ27. About 10 minutes into playing back a DVD the color starts going away until I only see a black/white movie. Sometimes color comes back in partially then back to b/w

You have switched machine onto external link mode
Either press external link on remote or find it under the flap.

Panasonic DVD Recorder DMR-EX77EB says no signal but no problem with aerial TV says signal strength 5 no problem for over a year since bought new until now

I restarted 'Auto setup' this deletes the channel settings (which had presumably been corrupted) and re-installed them from the incoming signal.
