this happen to me exactly - i checked and the fuse is blown, which is a good thing because it will hopefully have saved the rest of the machine from being toasted. I will find out soon once i get a new fuse.

No power to machine. power socket is live as i have plugged in another appliance which works. does the machine have fuses?

Sounds like you need to have the mains suppressor checked out by an engineer.
Someone had this happen to them as well.
I checked fuses - ok I drained detergent water -ok I checked filter and pump - ok Machine will not start. Next step - contact customer service, however under the Sales of Goods Act 1979 I am contacting the supplier as the machine is new.
I hope you get your machine running soon.
Update The fault was as follows: Bosh Washing Machine WAE2446 Fault reported: DEAD Material: SUPPRESSOR Description: REPLACED FAULTY MAINS SUPPRESSOR
In a nut shell. The washing machine failed (went dead) because the mains suppressor was faulty. The suppressor normally filters out unwanted interference from the washing machine mains electrical supply. The part was replaced and the washing machine came back to life.

35mm film, preferably ISO 200 or 400, although on bright days you can easily use ISO 100 as well. You can choose between 12 (scarce and not worth it), 24 or 36 exposures and check that the film has not passed it's expiry date as it can result in poor colours and contrast.

Users have their own brand preferences, Fuji and Kodak tend to have brighter and more vivid colours, Agfa tends to be more earthy and natural in tone, and most store own brands will tend to resemble Agfa. You won't go far wrong with any of them. If you prefer you can also use monochrome (a.k.a. black and white) film, but unless it says on the side of the box that it's "C41 compatible" then you'll need to use a processing lab which specialises in monochrome. C41 is the name of the processing system used for colour film and so C41 monochrome can be processed by a regular High St or drug-store minilab.

I was playing a cd and it just stopped. The lights went out, no power, no nothing. Seems to be dead...

There's a line fuse for these sets inside the radio on a printed circuit board. NOTE: for your safety, disconnect the radio from its power source before you open the case and poke around inside. The best way to check the fuse is with an ohm meter, but you can probably check it visually using a strong flashlight. There should be a wire filament running the length of the fuse. If it's intact, so is the fuse. If it's broken or not visible at all, the fuse is "blown" and needs to be replaced. If the fuse checks out ok, the power transformer is likely bad -- a problem that these sets are notorious for. Bose will charge you $100 for the transformer repair (unless the set is still under warranty), and having it done is strictly a matter of personal choice. My choice would be to sell the Bose on eBay as a "tech special" and pick up one of the newer HD radios. They offer much better sound at a much lower price.
