DO you get any error message? How many times does the camera beeps?

Please remove your battery and polish the terminals with
a dry cloth and make sure the terminals are clean. If the terminals are
covered with oil from your skin or similar matter, this may cause poor
contact and power may not be fully supplied to the camera.

    Also,
polish the battery charger terminals with a dry cloth before charging
the battery. If the terminals are covered with oil from your skin or
similar matter, this may cause poor contact and the battery may not be
    fully charged.

Next please remove your memory card and format in your pc using card reader and then use it on your cam.If you have another mem card then use it in your cam and see if you face the same problem.

Also try removing your mem card and battery from your camera and allow it to reset for 20min,then just insert the battery without the mem card and see if you face the same problem.

If you need any more help let me know..

    Instructions

If your camera is still under warranty, the best thing you can do
is to take it to the nearest official Olympus repair shop and Olympus Digital Cameras should
    fix it for free.

If your camera is out of warranty, or if Olympus refuses to repair
it for free (happens sometimes if for example they suspect the
camera has not been treated properly) you can try some of
the methods listed here to repair it yourself. These simple methods
have helped a lot of people fix their cameras.

Before trying any of the suggestions, make sure your Olympus Digital Cameras has fresh batteries and it is in recording mode.

    1) Remove the batteries from the camera, wait for a couple of minutes,
then put them back in and turn the camera on.

    2) Try compressed air. With a fine tip blow off gun and dry
compressed air (20 lbs) set the tip between the lens turret and the
camera body and turn on the air while moving the tip around the lens.
It should remove all dust and sand. Turn the camera on and it should
    function fine.

    3) Another method is to tap the padded USB cover part on a hard surface, for example, a desk. It sounds so simple, but very
    often in works.

    4) Try forcing the camera lens:

Turn off the camera. Place it on the back with the lens facing up and take a look at the spacing between the lens and
the lens housing. If you notice that the gap is not even all the way around the lens, the problem should be easy to
fix. This type of a problem usually occurs if the camera was dropped while the lens was extended.

Simply - VERY GENTLY - press down the lens on the side where the gap is the biggest. You should hear a
"click" as it pops back into place. Try powering the camera back on.

If the lens doesn't extend at all or it extends, and then retracts again, do the following. Turn the
camera off. Take the camera in one hand and with the other gently take one part of the lens and gently
move it round in a circular movement. Do so with both sections of the lens. You will hear a "click"
as it pops back in place. Power the camera on.

Another version of this fix would be to pull and twist on the largest ring of the lens while turning
the camera on. Listen for a "click". If at first the focus seems to be off, turn the camera on and
off and take lots of pictures, close ups and distance. Focus should slowly start improving.

    5) If that doesn't work, there is an online guide for dismantling Olympus Digital Cameras and fixing the E18 error. (NOTE: Try this only if your camera is no longer under warranty!)

It is a great guide with pictures and it can be found here.

There are 2 other guides, one Bulgarian and one Estonian with the take apart procedure for Canon cameras.
They are not in english but have a lot of pictures which help with the process.

Card is full; all pictures have been downloaded to my computer. How do I "delete all" from the camera? Olympus Stylus 300

In playback mode press >ok< select >mode menu< with the 4-arrow-pad, then select >card< then >card setup< then press the PLAY button below the arrow pad. Select >all erase< with the up/down buttons of the 4-arrow-pad and then press OK (the button beside the PLAY button). Confirm by selecting >yes< with the up/down button and press OK button again.
It's also a good habit to get into, to format the card after deleting the images (you can also just format the card - that will also delete all photos). To format the card start as above (Mode menu; card; card setup; press PLAY). Select >format< with up/down buttons then press OK. Select >yes< and press OK.

Hope that helps

Live view isn't working. Playback mode isn't

exactly the same problem in Hong Kong. Live view isn't working. turn on-off, change battery, reset setting, format memory card wouldn't work or solve anything. just send it back to customer service centre.

Lens will not extend, screen is black, ''no image'' message

Make sure you are using a 2GB SD card or smaller. Make sure the camera is set for Camera Mode not Playback. That is the switch that shows a camera or a square with an arrow in it. When the camera is in play back the lens will not come out until the camera is set for camera mode. The no image in playback will occur every time you use an SDHC type memory card. Formatting the memory will not make the camera take the SDHC type cards since it was never designed to use them.

Cant unlock a picture

If you want them to be permanently deleted you can format the memory card and this will clear the card of all data. If you just want these certain images deleted then you need to be in Playback mode - press the Menu button - go to Playback menu and press Ok - then choose the key option and turn it from ON to OFF. This will remove the lock and allow you to erase the selected image.

Olympus Stylus 760 digital camera

Found a solution by looking at other websites and other comments. I discovered that if I went to playback mode and then to card set up and found 'format' as long s I ahd copied and saved the photos actually on the camera, I could click on format which would give me a caution message and then say 'yes'. This erases all the photos but cured the problem!

Camera says "Memory Card Full" but the card is empty...

Hi, First, lets try formatting the card. But be aware that it will erase everything on the card. 1 Turn on the camera 2 Press the Menu button 3 Toggle once to the left to get the Setup menu (the one with the hammer/wrench icon) 4 Toggle down to Format 5 Select OK and press the Set button. To perform a low-level format, press the up arrow and then the right arrow to add the check mark. After you do this, exit the menu by pressing the Menu button. Take some still photos first. Download them to the computer but don't delete them from the card yet. Disconnect the camera from the computer (or if you are using a card reader remove the card). Delete the images from the card by using the menu in the playback/review mode. Let me know if this solves anything.
