I have tried putting the 2RCa cable/jack point into various holes on the back of the computer, but no luck a) does the Dell Dimension 511 PC actually have an integrated sound card? b) If answer to a) is yes, which colour hole on the back of the computer is it? i.e. blue, green, pink, black or yellow? Greetings! to help with your Dell issue, you first should know a bit about the PC you have. The 500 series of Dell PC's (yours included) are most commonly Pentium 3 machines -- if your processor is above 500 mhz that's a good start! However most of the 500 series PC's DO NOT have native support for USB 2.0 so you may be able to capture video but no audio, or the opposite and in many cases neither. By adding a PCI card that is USB 2.0 you should be able to use the device. Also be sure you have over 128mb of ram to support the functions of the capture device.... feel free to contact me for further help,

Keep PCing =)

Anyone know how to copy movies I purchased on itunes onto dvd so I can pop um in the dvd player?

HI,

Purchase Tunebite software. You may also download it, but will onlyreceive the first thirty seconds of video as a trial. Completeinstallation wizard, which can take several minutes.

Launch Tunebite software and click on the "Add" button. This process will allow you to load your iPodmag-glass_10x10.gif video library into Tunebite.

Click on "Convert Files" tab and place cursor over "Convert File to"drop down bar. Select WMV7 (1024kbps). Select "Start" to beginconversion process. The Digital Rights Management copyright is nowsuccessfully removed.

Download Aimersoft DVD Creator. Run and launch software. Simply click "Load Video" and drag videos onto storyboard.

Click "Burn". Select the "To DVD" option and adjust settings to NTSCfor television viewing. Insert a blank DVD-R/RW disc into DVDrecordable drive and record.

I have a JVC DR MV7SU DVD/Video recorder. How do

If your camcorder allows you to connect to a tv or vcr and allows you to record from it to the camcorder via the rca video input, then you should be able to record it that.  The camcorder must have the RCA audio/video inputs on it to be successful.

Can't record audio

I have converted home videos on my PC this way. I have a Sony camcorder whose output connects
to my firewire card in the PC. I also use windows Movie maker. While it is recording, I don't hear the audio. After saving the file and playing it back, I hear the audio, along with seeing the movie. Windows movie maker allows me to stop, start, and record the movie. It has complete control over the
Sony camcorder by using the firewire port on the PC.

yes....BUT....You'll need your computer to convert first. Although this is the US version camorder that you purchased, the software that comes with the camcorder allows you to convert you recording from NTSC to PAL when your ready to produce your movie. You can do this by opening up Power Produce or Power Director(software that comes with you camcorder) on you computer transfering you movie(s), editing if you would like though you dont have to, then select produce movie. The options offer you what choices on what to create; file, dvd, youtube video, and so on. You'll also see an option to produce in NTSC (default) or PAL. This is the only way that your recordings can become compadable with and be shown IN color on you PAL devices. If this isnt done and you go srait to your PAL recorder with this camcorder, our movies will be shown in black and white and or a bit distorted with no sound.

Can't transfer dubbed audio (secondary sound) using firewire.

Audio Dubbing on DV: Here's how you do this: Play your tape on the TRV-9 and feed the signal into the TRV-900, using the Firewire connector. Set the TRV-900's audio option to record in the 12-bit mode. When this is done, you will have the video re-recorded on the TRV-900 and the audio laid down on the primary 12-bit audio channel. Then, you can run the tape back through for a 2nd pass in the TRV-900, with the recorder set to the audio-dubbing mode. The audio you put into the TRV-900 this time, will be recorded on the secondary 12-bit channel. You can select either 12-bit channel when you play the edited tape back or you can mix both stereo channels into the output. Once you record on the 16-bit channel, you can't dub audio back onto that recording, without erasing the original channel, as the recording space for both 12-bit channels is occupied. You can't selectively re-record just audio onto the 16-bit channel either, without the video being re-recorded along with it. Both video and audio are sent over the same Firewire connector, so you can't input them from mixed sources, as you can with analog recordings. Only the secondary 12-bit audio channel can be used in the audio-dubbing mode. You can't dub onto the 16-bit channel or onto the primary 12-bit channel. The primary 12-bit channel can be used only when you're recording video along with it.
