Hi i have just bought a car and it has the Sony xlod 50 w x 4 the display lights keep flashing but I cant get the radio to work. i tried resetting but i only got as far as setting the clock.

hi there,if led lights blinking maybe your phone just gone to "sleep of death"... just remove the battery and wait for a while,..if problem still persist after boot,try sony update service on your pc(resets all your data)it works for me,....goodluck!
Is your warranty purchased from Sony itself or from the place of purchase i.e. Walmart extended warranty? Return it to the place of purchase. They should have your PS3 serial number and can look it up. Once they verify you have the extended warranty, they should take care of it.
Addressing the actual probelm. I am not sure if this would work but turn off the PS3, Once light turns red, touch the power button and keep holding as light turns green then goes back to red. The try restarting the PS3. Thats a video reset. It may work, it may not.
Reset Update Firmware Double-check with Sony Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware. Wizard. If fails, then the player is officially dead
turn radio off, and press the "audio" botton until clock is displayed. then click it again shortly till you see "FM 100" on the display, press > (side arrow, now it should switch to "FM 50". long press on the "audio" to save and exit.
afterwards it should work fine.
