I am using an hp pavilion 322n. The internet interface sometimes drops the link to the ISP, then when I tell it to reestablish a connection, it dials a number I didn't tell it to use. It can't find a modem or get connected and I would guess there isn't any such number.
Well This is not a very wild problem..If your Operating system is xp then do the following..Go to Control Panel and choose the internet options menu..In that choose the connections Tab where you will have the exsisting connection..Select it and "Remove"..Now "Add" a new a Connection in it ,Follow the the procedure in it and you can specify the number for dialing to internet ..It will solve your problem..Thank you!!!
Regards!!..
What about that no. is this the no. of ur service provider, if not then have u added the right service provider no. in the connection setting.
if not. then add that specific service provider no. and delete all others.
regarding ur case of dropage isp, check then modem or lan which one is used by u.
regards,
