Many Branded System does not have any CD/DVD Drive unless it is opted to buy. This does not mean that UR System is defective. Plz tell me which OS U R currently using. Consult the Manual came with UR HP PC and ascertain the preinstalled OS.

Hi fontenlam!

What you can do is to go to support.hp.com, then if you need drivers for your computer you can download it from that support site. If you also need User's Manual, you can get it from there.

Thanks!
I know it will work. Be Positive!
Your good rating will be very much appreciated.

Good luck and thank you!

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Factory reset from CD

Click the "Start" menu on your computer and choose "Accessories." Click "System Tools" and choose "Back up" from the list. This process will back up any files on your computer that you wish. When you reset your HP to its default settings, all documents, programs and other files on your computer will be lost. Back up anything you may need later. Follow the on-screen instructions to move through the back-up wizard. When given the option "Let me choose what to back up," select all programs or documents you want to save. If you're unsure whether you'll need it, back it up just in case. Insert a blank CD or DVD to save your files. Choose your CD drive from the "Back up location" option in the backup wizard. Keep multiple blank CDs or DVDs on hand. You'll need a lot of space, and typically several CD's, to back up all your information. Click "Finish" at the end of the back-up wizard and it will begin to burn information to the CD or DVD. When prompted, remove the CD and insert a new one. Continue until the computer is done backing up your information. Label each CD or DVD in the order you burn it. This way you can transfer your information back into the computer in the order you saved it. Check your CDs or DVDs to make sure the back up was complete by opening a file from the CD. Exit any open programs. You are now ready to start the restoration process. Click the "Start" menu, "All Programs," "System Recovery," and choose "PC Recovery." Choose "PC Recovery" again once the menu opens and click "Next." Your computer will restart automatically. When it turns back on, a welcome message for the PC Recovery software will display on screen. Click "OK." Select the "System Recovery" option to restore the computer to its default settings. Follow any on-screen instructions and wait for the computer to finish resetting your settings to the default. Insert your first back-up CD or DVD to start reinstalling your programs after boot-up. Open the files and save them to the computer. After you've saved everything from the first CD, continue on with the rest. Hope this helps.

Hp compaq dc 7600 small form factor CMDS and check sum invalid

boot into safe mode and run CMD.exe and type in CHKDSK and run that program to fix any errors. If there still is a problem. Grab the CD in your computer came with and install it. What I mean by that, is insert a disk into CD-ROM drive. Before turning off computer. Turning on computer and booting from CD to fix any errors. If that doesn't work reinstall Windows. Please rate me for assisting you today have a great day. :-)

File missing or corrupt

You could always use Ubuntu either temporarily or permanently. It's an Operating System based on GNU/Linux and is completely free, and in a lot of people's opinions it's better than Windows. You can set it up to run on a seperate partition and choose which OS to run at boot, or you can format the drive and just install Ubuntu which will automatically run at boot.

check it out here:
What is Ubuntu?
Read about it, get the free download, burn it to a CD-R and reboot to install. The installation is straight forward, and the new GUI in 9.10 is simple to learn for a new user. Most drivers are automatically configured if not all, already. :) Hope it helps

Fan quit working on laptop. I've heard conflicting information from stores today about whether or not new computer is needed or this being repairable. When I turn on computer, it says "system fan...

Hi There,

The message that you are getting from your computer system is because the motherboard has got very hot and therefore requires new motherboard and the new fan will come with it. I would buy a new computer instead of repairing this one due to the cost involved.

The answer to your data is yes... your hard drive can taken out and the data copied to another system, or even burned to cd. I would buy an external drive kit from pc shop and instert your drive into it and use it as an external deive on your new laptop.

Please let me know if you need more help.

Regards,

Philip

Copy files from old computer and transfer to new computer

Although Vista comes with an Easy File Transfer Wizard it is not compatible with Windows 98.

You will need a CD burning program such as Nero Burning Suite or Creative CD Writer or here is a link to a FREE one.

Computer crash/need upgrade

I need more information to properly assess this problem.

What sort of P.C. is this? How old is it? How much R.A.M. (Random Access Memory) do you have? What O.S. (Operating System) are you currently using?

My first "guess" is that this is a lack of R.A.M. Games usually use an awful lot of memory for their graphics functions in their programs.

Today's standard for most computer operations are about 1 G.B. (Gigabyte) of D.D.R. (Double Data Rate) R.A.M. (Random Access Memory)
