Try my steps:-
1.If you know removing installed programs from MAC, then please remove this application named-Rosetta Stone.
2. Now, remove all the cables & wires if your hardware audio device & turn off your computer.
3. Reconnect all the cables & wires & start your computer.
4. This time, reinstall the audio driver.

If this doesn't work, then you may try these ones:-
METHOD 1: Perform Step 1 to 3 again & install a different audio driver instead of Rosetta Stone.

METHOD 2: (This is only if METHOD 1 is also not working) Try your mic in any other MAC by installing Rosetta Stone in that system.

Note: You may search for a different audio driver at http://www.download.cnet.com/. Here search in mac column.

Error 9119 rosseta stone

When you install Rosetta Stone it puts its language files in a different folder. When you uninstall the program the language files are left intact and are never touched. If a problem occurs and one of the language files becomes corrupt and unreadable you're going to get that error 9119 every time when you try to re-install your language pack. Each language level has THOUSANDS of files in hundreds of sub-folders. Each file in those sub-folders has an hexadecimal name of 40 or more characters in length. So good luck trying to find the corrupt file(s). Also, because the file or files are corrupt, they can't be read or deleted. You're going to have to perform chkdsk on your hard drive to recover the bad sectors...eventually. The quickest and simplest way to fix your Rosetta Stone problem is to rename the folder where it puts its language files to something else. On an xp system the default name is "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Rosetta Stone". I changed mine to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Garbage Files". That way when Rosetta Stone goes to install its language files it will recreate the folder cleanly instead of trying to overwrite the old folder and its corrupt files. That will solve your problem. You can then run chkdsk at your leisure and delete the Garbage Files. Good luck and spread the word.

Create a security exception. 1. In ESET NOD32 (Smart Security 5), click Setup.
2. On the Setup screen, click Enter advanced setup... (bottom of screen).
3. On the Advanced setup screen, open Computer -> Antivirus and antispyware -> Exclusions.
4. Click Add , locate/select the Rosetta Stone Version 3 executable, then click OK. (In my case, the executable was in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Rosetta Stone Version 3 folder.)

Set the Rosetta Stone compatibility mode. 1. Right click the Rosetta Stone desktop icon or Start -> All programs -> Rosetta Stone.
2. Select Properties from the list.
3. Select the Compatibility tab.
4. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode box.
5. In the list below the check box, select the OS (in my case, Windows 7).

I have purchased rosetta stone total E which requiresmac osx tiger10.4.11 and higher. my i book has os x 10.4.11 without the tiger. are the two operating systems the same or will the rosetta stone not...

If you've got 10.4.11 and that's what it requires, it should work.
Check About this Mac to mac sure you have at least a 1ghz processor and 1 gig of ram.
That's probably what you're lacking.
Here's the chart.

My asus x83v laptop keeps giving me a big red error message, called tech support they just want me to send it in to them. On the same red error msg screen I've gotten the following messages in the left top...

For that first make sure SATA is disabled in bios. When you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or del or ALT+F2 to enter in bios then go to advanced and disable SATA then save settings and exit from bios. Then check if still same error then you need to repartition and reformat the harddrive with windows disk. For that boot computer with windows disk and then follow the procedure on screen then reformating the harddrive will fix this issue. Let me know if you need further assistance. The Speech Component isn't working but the

Ok I have a solution for my laptop. I have Laptop with realtek HD Audio and Windows 7. Rosetta stone did detect the integrated microphone at first, but then nothing helped to do this again. So I decided to upgrade audio drivers. First installer removed old drivers and asked for reboot. I rebooted and DID NOT INSTALLED DRIVERS. Windows installed its native drivers and here we go. I have been learning Japanese for two days already :)
So the solution for windows 7 is:
1. Remove your audio drivers
2. Reboot
3. Wait until windows install its own drivers.
4. Learn languages.

There is an error with this application

I started getting "Error 2123" recently, and spent A LOT of time searching for the fix. Here is what finally worked:

Find the hidden file "tracking.db3". It's in the hidden folder "ProgramData/Rosetta Stone" under the "C:" directory. Copy and paste it to the Rosetta Stone install directory (Program Files/Rosetta Stone).

Error 2123 should be gone, but now there will be Error 2125. So, in the Rosetta Stone install directory, run the "service_installer" .exe file by double-clicking it.

RS V3 Error 1117 - does not detect microphone

I have finally found a solution! I found it by chance on the rosetta stone troubleshooting page. I have nod 3 antivirus + firewall and in the firewall settings the rosetta stone application was blocked (it was denied internet access). I just deleted it from the list and the next time rosetta stone asked for internet access I clicked yes. Now rosetta stone detects both my dynamic microphone and my usb headset and it works fine. Hope this works for everybody.

How can I fix error 1117 problem with speech component. I have tried restarting the browser and the computer.

This will fix IF you are running a personal firewall:

Enable the Rosetta Stone app to communicate within a trusted area. This lets the app send data to the computer that it is running on. An example might be port 127.0.0.x. You can still block it from communicating with the internet if you like.

In my case, I run the Sunbelt Personal Firewall. I went into its configuration panel, clicked on the Network Security tab, and found the Rosetta Stone Ltd. executable entry. Then I ensured that a green "permit" checkmark appeared under the Trusted Out column. Apply and close. Restart RS and the speech component should work.
