    I have my main computer that the router is connected to and it works fine is has Vista. I have two other desktops in the same room I am trying to connect wirelessly with a wireless-G network adaptor on each computer. Someone set them up for me and had some trouble. He finally got them to work and now a few weeks later I am back to neither working. They try to hook-up, but it says that the internet can't be found. I think it has something to do with them both having the same type of network adapter. Any help would be appreciated

    To be able to assist you I need to know the type of Linksys device that you have. If you are using a switch you will need to enable internet connection sharing on your computers to share the internet.

You can follow the steps given by Voodoomox however based on what I see with your problem. The router may not be giving the proper addresses.
Check if your router gives the right IP.
Connect your computers to the router via ports 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4
Check the IP.
1. CLick start then run then type in CMD
2. Click ok.
3. Type in IPCONFIG if the IP comes out 192.168.1.XX on both computers then you may follow Voodoomox links from there.

If it does not reset the router.
1. Press the reset button on the back.
2. Press it in for 30 seconds let go and then pull out the power
3. Plug the power back in then check the IP. If both show 192.168.1.XX then follow the links from Voodoomox

Since this is a desktop PC that has Windows 7 OS, there might be a possibility that the issue is on your wireless adapter. As we all know, desktop PC's has no built in wireless card on them, so you need to install a wireless USB adapter on your PC. Of course, 3rd party wireless USB adapters has their own wireless utility to manage the wireless connection and that is where you need to put in the infos about your wireless connection. You didn't mention if on the 2nd part, is it asking you to re-type your wireless passphrase or is it asking you for a WPS pin.

I got 1 modem (pldt dsl) cdrking wireless router and 2 desktop pc. i can connect to the internet in my host pc but unable to access the internet on the 2nd pc. when enabling the LAN on the 2nd pc it says...

It could be a faulty wiring connection from the ethernet cable to the RJ45 (plug). Exchange the cables from your PC1 and PC2 to confirm it. If that worked then you can either buy another set of cable (just make sure to try it in the store first). Or if you have a wire cutter especially made for ethernet cables, then just cut the RJ45 and replace it with a new one. You can buy those on CD-R king too.

I can't get online to google or anything because the laptop will not come out of the offline.

If you are on a wireless network with a router, power cycle all your equipment to get it back in sync with each other.

1. Turn off the power to your router( 1st) , your modem (2nd) and pc (3rd). in this order. Wait a few min.

2. Take out the ethernet cable from the router (until your modem reacquires a signal to the internet) and if the pc is connected to the router unplug the Ethernet cable from the back of the pc.

3. Turn on the power to your router wait for all the lights to come back up. Then turn on your modem and wait for all the lights to come back up and reacquire a signal. Once all the lights are on the modem, plug the ethernet cable back into the Internet jack of your router.

4. Turn on your laptop. After Windows loads and you get to your desktop, plug the Ethernet cable in to the back of the pc( if you connect wired) or try to connect to your wireless network.

5. Then open your browser and type in this web address:

if a purple page comes up-You are connected to the Internet.

I have two ParkerVision WR1500 4-port Wireless DSL/Cable Routers. The first one I have connected my Ethernet Cable from my modem to the WAN port. This is where I get my Internet Signal. My understanding...

You won't get internet connection that way because there is no connection between the first parkervision and the 2nd one.
Best way is use only one parkervision router. Connect WAN port to modem for internet, 1st lan port connect to your pc and 2nd lan port connect to 2nd pc in other room. 2nd way is, use only one parkervision. Connect WAN port to modem for internet, 1st lan port connect to your pc, setup wireless SSID and connect your 2nd pc to this router for internet wirelessly. Assuming your 2nd pc has wireless capability.

I have just moved house and quickly yanked out all the wires from my computer but I've forgotten how to wire up the Belkin router and the modem. Can you help? I'm trying to hook up to my DSL 502T modem and...

Just to confirm... You have both a laptop and a desktop to connect to the router?
Assuming this is correct:
Note: The router image below may not be the exact model, but will be based on a similar set-up
  • Using a patch cable, connect one end to the modem, and the other end to the router's "Modem" port (First on the left in the pic)
  • Using a 2nd patch cable, connect one end to the PC, and the other to any of the ports numbered 1-4 on the router
At this point, there are any number of paths to go down depending on your ISP, connection type, etc., but the best advise I can give is to concentrate on getting the PC working first, then getting the wi-fi to work. Power up all devices in the following order
  1. Modem (Wait to get the 'ready' or 'ok' light)
  2. Router (Again, wait until you have a 'ready' or 'ok' light)
  3. PC
Try to access the internet. If all went OK, you should be connected.
Try cabling them and powering up first. If you're still having problems, Reply here, and we'll talk through them.

You connect the phone line to the router, then you connect ONE PC to the router via an Ethernet cable and configure router, after that you can remove that Ethernet connection and connect wirelessly.

Wireless network has disappeared !

If I understand your post/description:
1. You have both wired and wireless clients tied to the DLink DI-634M router;
2. The 1st PC is a desktop that uses Ethernet connections to the DLink and is currently working;
3. You have another (2nd) PC (a laptop?) that is connect by WiFi to the router. This is not working now;

I think that your issue may have to do with the Wireless networking of your 2nd PC, i.e. if you can access (DLink DI-634M) from the 1st PC that is wired.

Should this be the case or the scenario is different, pls post back.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested or should you be in need of additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
