You definitely can't be helped if you won't specify your make and model of mouse, though I kind of suspect it's a corded mouse that doesn't take batteries, and that it's gone bad on you (in which case you get to label it securely with the problem it has, and put it in the spare parts bin.) Maybe there are replacement parts for mice available on eBay now, but that's new to me; get a new one with cool features like force feedback or wireless or such, from justdeals.com or an accessories dealer with good prices, or from a promotional firm that can get you 20 to give away with your logo on them for $200.
