Certain websites are blocked in China (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Websites_blocked_in_mainland_China). If you want to use facebook there, you'll have to use a proxy server outside of China or a VPN.
The firewall in China block sites with sensitive information. Like all the "free china" groups on facebook. You can disguise your IP address with a vpn. http://unblockfacebookinchina.info has more information about what a vpn is, and how to get one. I use 12vpn and have never had a problem. It's also the cheapest around that I know of.
Go to the china website http://zh-cn.facebook.com/ and login using your login information, once you`re on it will ask you if you want to use the facebook in china, just click yes!
