This model and the Kenmore equivalent still have lots of bugs...
I've replaced the microprocessor board on mine twice -- thankfully under warranty -- costs in excess of $600,,,
my suggestions are: 1) verify that the two door switches (at top seal area one each side) appear to be working OK -- push them w/ your finger and see if the the refrigerator light goes off 2) either pull the plug on the refrigerator or open the breaker feeding it -- count 30 seconds and put power back to it -- it's a computer, every so often you have to "reboot" it because it it loses its mind now and then... 3) you should be able to push (I think the left most touch pad) the touch pad key under the alarm to shut it off.... 4) if all else fails, ??? can you afford not to replace it ???

That is the cooling off function. to turn it off in own press power freeze and freezer temperature buttons together for 3 seconds until a ding sounds. To do this again to turn it back on press the same buttons together simultaneously for 3 seconds until you hear the ding sound
Not sure if I'm reading this right. Is the alarm you are talking about the one that tells you the door is not closed all the way??? If that is correct, then the reason your ice/water system is not working is because the wiring system for the dispenser is fed through a switch on the freezer door which keeps the dispenser off when the door is opened. You need to correct the door problem causing the alarm to ding and that should also fix the dispenser problem. Possibly a door adjustment needed. Door top edges should be aligned and even across the top and the gap between the doors should also be the same distance top to bottom if this is a side x side.
Teresa, The fridge is in a retailers demo mode and here is what you do to reset it to normal operation: Left Door: Simultaneously press and hold the top two buttons on the left side of the display panel until you hear a distinctively different chime sound when the display changes. This will either be a combination of "Energy Saver" and "Freezer", or "Energy Saver" and "Power Freeze/Freezer."
At the top of the door frame: Simultaneously press and hold the "Power Freeze" and "Freezer" buttons until you hear a distinctively different chime sound and the temperatures for the fridge and freezer are both displayed.
Note: If the temperature is displayed, but then "OF OF" reappears a few seconds later, Cooling Off mode was not disabled. Repeat the actions above, and be sure to press and hold the buttons at the exact same time until the distinctive chime sound is heard and both temperatures are displayed.
Hell Bill, I am happy to assist
you! Sounds like you are referring to the temperature alarm. When the refrigerator
is beeping or buzzing, it may be a warning sign of a possible malfunction or an
unsafe, interior temperature. To silence the buzzer, you can depress the ALARM
OFF button. However, if you have already done this, try unplugging the unit or
flipping the household circuit breaker for about ten minutes.
If the alarm continues, it
could possibly be experiencing a communication problem with the temperature
control/board or wiring failure. I would recommend connecting with a
professional appliance tech for a clear-cut diagnosis or the manufacturer
