Try pushing in the 2 small round buttons at the bottom of the base and pull up. That should do it.

mine just broke as well the hand blener is working but the piece on top of the inside lide broke off so as not to make a good attachment with handle where can i geta lid

Sorry someone has not responded sooner but just discovered this site.

www.wpcookware.com is the Wolfgang Puck website. They sell parts to the immersion blenders. The shipping is costly though.

phoned company and was advised that no repairs were possible in Canada. On line request with company got no response.
