Question about Sony Network Walkman NW-E005 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Please enter path to your Sony Walkman root directory as install path and choose to overwrite all existing files.

Thanks votit. Do I use both Void and Sonic or just one of them? What does this mean:"Please enter path to your Sony Walkman root directory as install path and choose to overwrite all existing files" (a Void instruction).
Also I can drag and drop music files into Void but it won't upload; or if it does it is not apparent. Please advise.

How do i add photos to my nwz-e344

Hi,

Connect the Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 (8 GB) Digital Media player to your computer using the device's USB sync cable. Wait until your computer detects the MP3 player.

Click the "Start" icon in the taskbar. Click "My Computer."

Double-click "Removable Disk." This will open the root storage directory of your MP3 player, which is where all its files are stored. Locate the "Photos" folder inside this directory.

Drag-and-drop pictures from your computer into the Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 (8 GB) Digital Media player Photos folder: Click on a picture file and hold down the mouse button while moving the file to the Photos folder, then release the mouse button to copy the picture to the folder. You can now view these pictures on your Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 (8 GB) Digital Media player.

If your Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 (8 GB) Digital Media player does not support photo viewing, you can still add pictures to the device. Drag-and-drop the pictures anywhere within the root storage directory. You can transfer the pictures to another computer or any USB-compatible device.

Good luck.

Have you had problems with enabling FancyUrls in your CMS (Content Management...

Have you had problems with enabling FancyUrls in your CMS (Content Management System)? A lot of hosts don't have mod_rewrite enabled, or even a basic .htaccess file.

This simple fix is just clearly written to help users better understand what to do, as well as an easy copy/paste job.
  1. Simply copy and paste this code into a new Windows notepad file.
  2. "Save file as.." .htaccess - including the dot in front of htaccess.
  3. Upload the file to your public_html directory, overwriting the previous one if any.
  4. (Not a required step, use only if temp.htaccess exists.) If there is one called temp.htaccess, simply delete that one OR rename it as .htaccess and upload the new .htaccess for an overwrite.

Copy the text below this line..
AddDefaultCharset UTF-8
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule /?([A-Za-z0-9-]+)/? $index.php?id=$1

# Add a ReWriteBase line to any directory or subdirectory requiring it.
# The default directory is "/", which is the root or main directory you use.
------------------------------------End copy

Good luck to you!

Error 1720. Trying to install Quark 6.1 on Windows 7

I definitively solved this problem. Follow these steps:
1) Install first Quark Xpress 6.1 on a Windows XP PC.
2) Copy the entire directory of installed files (Normally c:\program files\quark) on a pen drive.
3) Install Quark Xpress 6.1 on your Windows 7 PC until the installation stops with 1720 error.
4) Abort the installations, then copy the Quark directory stored on your pendrive in c:\programs x 86 directory overwriting the existing one.

This way Xpress 6.1 works perfectly on a Windows 7 PC. Guaranteed!

detail_no-screenshot.gif Erlang R11B
Erlang is a full-featured programming language developed at the Ericsson CS Laboratory. more>> Erlang is a programming language designed at the Ericsson Computer Science Laboratory.
Open-source Erlang is being released to help encourage the spread of Erlang outside Ericsson.
Installation
When installed, the entire system, except for a small start-up script, resides in a single directory tree. The location of this directory tree can be chosen arbitrarily by the installer, and it does not need to be in the users $PATH.
The only requirements are that the file system where it is placed has enough free space, and that the users who run Erlang/OTP have read access to it. In the example below, the directory tree is assumed to be located at /usr/local/erlang, which is here called the top-level directory.
It is assumed that you have the compressed tar file, the name of which is < PREFIX >.tar.gz, where < PREFIX > is a string denoting the particular Erlang/OTP release, e.g. otp_LXA_11930_sunos5_R9B.
Wherever the string < PREFIX > is used below, it should be replaced by the actual name prefix of the compressed tar file.
The tape archive file does not have one single directory in which all other files are rooted. Therefore the tape archive file must be extracted into an empty (newly created) directory.
1. If the top-level directory does not already exist, create it:
mkdir /usr/local/erlang
2. Change the current directory to the top level directory:
cd /usr/local/erlang
3. Create the installation directory with an appropriate name. For example:
mkdir otp_r7b
4. Change to the installation directory, e.g.
cd otp_r7b
5. Assuming the compressed tar file resides in the directory ,. extract the compressed tar file into the current directory:
gunzip -c / .tar.gz | tar xfp -
6. Read the README file in the installation directory for last minute updates, before proceeding.
7. Run the Install script in the installation directory, with the absolute path of the installation directory as argument,
./Install /usr/local/erlang/otp_r7b
and supply answers to the prompts.
In most cases, there is a default answer in square brackets ([]). If the default is satisfactory, just press . In general you are only prompted for one thing:
- "Do you want to use a minimal system startup instead of the SASL startup?"
In a minimal system, only the Kernel and STDLIB applications are loaded and started. If the SASL startup is used, the SASL application is included as well. Normally, the minimal system is enough.
8. Make Erlang/OTP available for users, either by putting the path /usr/local/erlang/otp_r7b/bin in users $PATH variable, or link the executable /usr/local/erlang/otp_r7b/bin/erl accordingly, e.g.:
ln -s /usr/local/erlang/otp_r7b/bin/erl /usr/local/bin/erl
Enhancements:
- Among other things, SMP support was added.

Even though the x is not entered in the over write existing files box it over writes but adds a numerical 1 or 2 to get over it. How does one stop it from overwriting with the same file name. Example file...

It's not overwriting. It's creating a new file with a different name, as long as the number extension is different. As long as you store files in the scanner memory you will be limited in naming protocols...
See this discussion for further help, and an explanation of how to store files anywhere you browse to. Then you simply create a new folder to store your scans in and name it whatever you choose.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

del c:windows emp*.* = (* is for wild character(s)) *.* indicates that you would like to delete all files in the c:windows emp directory.
