Hi there,

In some cases the problem may be with the Internet Browser. Try reinstalling or upgrading your Firefox / Chrome / Internet Explorer. If that doesn't work, go into the Tools Menu and delete your entire browsing history, temporary internet files, cache, cookies, etc.

If you still can't install Flash, I recommend doing a complete cleaning of all the Junk Files on your computer with CCleaner. Don't worry it won't delete any of your essential Offline Files.
You can download CCleaner from here: http://www.piriform.com/

You tube not playing i have flash player

Please follow these steps to upgrade to the most recent version of Adobe's Flash Player:

  1. Before installing Adobe Flash, you will need to first uninstall any older versions you currently have running on your computer. To do so, download Adobe's official uninstaller here. Make sure to select your correct operating system, and then "Uninstall Flash."
  2. Now that you've uninstalled the older version of Flash, follow Adobe's instructions for reinstalling the most recent version. The download option is on the right-hand side of the page.
  3. Once you've downloaded the file, please exit your browser first, and then install the upgraded version of Flash to you're computer.
  4. Finally, open your browser again and go to YouTube. You should now be able so successfully watch videos!

If the instructions above don't resolve the issue, please also try the following:

  1. Temporarily disable popup blocking software installed on your computer to test.
  2. Allow YouTube.com as a trusted site in your Firewall software.
  3. Ensure other applications like Quicktime, iTunes, Real Player, or Windows Media Player aren't set as the default streaming application, as this might affect the video player.
  4. Make sure your computer is set up properly for Flash by checking out Adobe's Advanced Troubleshooter here.

Cant get to play farmville on my note book keeps tellin me 2 update flash player which a have tried several times and still wont work

I guess you have a Windows OS, so I will give you some advice concerning Windows OS. Propably there is something wrong with the Flash Player installation on your notebook.
I suggest you firstly, uninstall flash player using the Flash Player uninstaller from Adobe and then reinstalling Flash Player. Here are the steps to follow
1. Download Adobe Flash Player uninstaller from this link http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe and save it to your desktop.
2. Restart your computer
3. Exit all applications. Check the taskbar and the system tray to make sure that no user applicaiton are running. For example if you see icons for browsers or IM clients such as AOL Instant Messanger or Yahoo! Messanger, right-click the icon and select either Close or Exit. At the following screen you can see an example of how to close a system tray application (the application displayed is Digsby Instant Messanger) nikolas152.png

You have to close any running application that may be using Flash Player. Such applications are web browsers, Instant Messangers (MSN, Yahoo! Messanger, AIM, etc.), swf files, Projector files (.exe standalone Flash Videos or applications).
4. Run the uninstaller. If any message asking you for permissions to make any changes to the system pops up, allow it (Yes, Allow, Ok).
5. Restart your computer
6. Visit the Adobe Flash Player webpage and check if the Flash Player is uninstalled. If the Flash Player is not uninstalled you will see some information like this nikolas152_0.png
In that case repeat these steps to completely uninstall Flash Player. In case the Flash Player is uninstalled, then from that same webpage you can reinstall Flash Player.
7. Play Farmville!

Why not run video

Hi,

Videos on YouTube are streamed through Adobe Flash player. If you're having trouble playing and viewing videos YouTube, we suggest you install the latest version of the Flash player: this will allow you to easily play YouTube videos.
Here's how to upgrade to the most recent version of Adobe's Flash Player:
  1. Before installing the most recent version of Adobe Flash player, you will need to first uninstall any older versions of the Flash player you've installed in the past and currently have running on your computer.

Please completely uninstall the version of Flash you're currently running, before upgrading to the most recent version. To uninstall Flash, follow Adobe's instructions, listed here. You'll need to download Adobe's official Uninstaller to remove Flash.

  2. Once you've uninstalled the older version of Flash, you'll be ready to upgrade to the most recent version of Flash.
To upgrade to the most recent version of the Flash player, please follow these steps:

    1. Follow Adobe's instructions for reinstalling the most recent version of Flash.
    2. Once you've downloaded the latest version of Adobe Flash, please exit your browser.
    3. Finally, click to install the update that you just downloaded to your computer from the Adobe Flash site.
Once you've done so, open your browser again and go to YouTube.

For Windows Vista users:
If the Flash uninstall / reinstall does not work this maybe due to a Microsoft Windows Vista permissions issue.
Please use the Windows button at the bottom left then the search function:
  • Go to: C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\.
  • Right-click on the following file: FlashUtil9b.exe or FlashUtil9e.exe.
  • Select "Run as Administrator" and install the update..
  • Restart your computer.
Please post your feedback and vote if the issue is resolved as per your satisfaction.

'Failed to install. For Troubleshooting please see: http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166'for windows xp

I'm assuming that you were trying to install Adobe Flash Player. The best thing to do would be to remove Flash Player from your system entirely, and then try a clean install. Please go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html and click on the link following the word "Windows" below the text "1. Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller." Save this file to your desktop. Shut down ALL programs that you have running. Look in the system tray (next to the time) to make sure that everything is closed.

Run the uninstaller by clicking on the file that was placed on your desktop. You may be asked to restart your system. If you are, please do that before going any farther.

Once Flash Player is completely gone from your computer, please go to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages/flash.html . Wait for a few minutes. When Flash Player is reinstalled, you will see a quick Flash animation in the middle of the lighter blue box telling you that your installation is complete.

Each time you upgrade your Flash Player, you should use this routine to ensure that no parts of the old version are left over to cause problems for the newest version.

Hope this helps! Diana Wellspring
