Yeah it will work. But sprint has to unlock it which the dont do unless you are a sprint user. The way I am doing thing is to buy an unlock cd. I just purchased on ebay for 6.99. You put it in your computer and hook up your phone using the data cable.

SOURCE: blocked sim card vodafone. No pin code

PIN CODE:

HI If you are asking for pin contact your service provider , he will give you a default pin .

If you try pin more than few predefined no of times your phone will ask PUK code which can also be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number . Do not try PUK(new pin code) code many times or else your sim will be blocked and you will need a new sim.

Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no.

Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.

There is no other go than the above procedure only your service provider can give it nobody else in this world nor any software.

Why does the new pin code request comes after the PUK code request?

This resets the pin code on the SIM card. I suggest you take a note of the pin code and keep it in a safe place. If you forget the SIM pin code then you need the PUK code again to unlock the SIM card.
Also keep the PUK code in a safe place with the SIM card pin code.

Please do help me in this i want to recover my sim because its puk is blocked can u tell me any way how to rcover it?

Hi there, i suggest you please contact your service provider for the PUK CODE. PUK code is protect your sim card. For more details please read the below topic. Its much clear to you.
1. My phone is requesting a PIN/PIN2/PUK/PUK2 code.
Your phone is equipped with one or more codes to protect it against unauthorised use. The PIN and PUK codes actually protect the SIM card, a small card inside your phone that establishes the network connection.
In most cases, your operator or service provider is the best source of assistance with PIN and PUK codes.
  • The most common code is the PIN (Personal Identification Number) code, which you set yourself and can activate and inactivate by following the instructions in your user guide.
  • The PIN2 code is a PIN code which acts as a second layer of protection for certain features of your phone. It functions in the same way as the PIN code, and more information is available in your user guide.
  • If the PIN code is entered incorrectly multiple times, your phone may request a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code. The PUK code is an 8-digit code provided by your operator or service provider.
  • If the PIN2 code is entered incorrectly multiple times, your phone may request a PUK2 code.
Please contact your operator or service provider for assistance with your PIN and/or PUK codes. If you have already contacted your service provider and the code provided did not work, you will have to obtain a new SIM card from your operator or service provider.

2. My phone is requesting a security code.
Your phone is equipped with one or more codes to protect it against unauthorised use. Please note that the security code, which protects the phone itself, differs from the PIN code, which protects the SIM card.
If your phone is prompting you for a security code and you have not activated one, please try the following:
  • Enter the default security code: 12345. Only try this once.
If your phone still requests a security code, please bring it to the nearest Nokia care point for inspection. You can find care point addresses from the drop-down menu at the bottom of Repair.
Please note:
  • Some operators configure phones so that they only work with their brands' SIM cards. In this case, if you enter the wrong code three or more consecutive times, the phone may lock permanently. If this happens, contact your operator or service provider for assistance.
  • In other cases when you enter the wrong code three or more consecutive times, the phone switches to a "sleep mode" and does not accept any entries for the next 15 minutes. In this case, power the phone off, then back on, let it sit idle or untouched for 15 minutes, then try again or bring it to a Nokia Care point.

3. My phone displays "SIM card rejected" or "SIM card unaccepted".
The SIM (subscriber identity module) card is a small card inside your phone that establishes a network connection. The SIM card is provided by your operator or service provider. In most cases, they are the best source of assistance with SIM card problems. Your phone may display a SIM card error message if:
  • The SIM card is out of alignment. If the phone has recently been dropped, bumped, or opened, the SIM card may need adjusting. Follow the SIM card installation instructions in your user guide.
  • The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is entered incorrectly multiple times. This can inactivate the SIM card. If inactivation appears to be permanent, contact your operator or service provider for a new SIM card.
  • You have recently changed service providers. In this case, either your SIM card or your phone may be configured for your previous operator and may require reconfiguring. It may also be that your phone is configured so that it cannot be used with a SIM card from a different operator or service provider. Please contact your current operator or service provider for assistance.
If none of the situations above apply and you continue to receive this error message, your SIM card may be damaged. Please contact your operator or service provider to have the SIM card tested and/or replaced. Or alternately, bring your phone to the nearest Nokia care point for inspection. You can find Care point addresses from the drop-down menu at the bottom of Repair.
Thanks & hope its helpful for you.

I forgot my pin number for Samsung SGH-E330N phone. how can i fix it?

A lost PIN (personal identification number) cannot be directly recovered. You will need to call the SIM card company phone number. Keep the IMEI code ready, you will be asked for it. To get IMEI dial on phone : *#06# . The operator will tell you how to trigger the PUK code, entering wrong ping again (three times ion total). Once you get the PUK, the company operator will be able to pull up code from database. The only other way to get rid of a PIN request when you have lost the OIN number is by replacing SIM card. PIN and PUK are associated to your SIM card, and you won't get PIN request after replacing the phone card.

Securing your Shine
Secure your LG Shine and your account from thieves by locking your phone and your SIM card Losing a phone through accident or to a light-fingered thief is annoying, frustrating and potentially very costly, especially if the 'finder' uses your SIM card to make expensive calls. You can, however, lock both your phone and your SIM card with four-figure PIN numbers to prevent unauthorised use.
The first line of defence is to set a SIM card PIN. This means that whenever you turn on your handset you have to enter a PIN code before the SIM can be used. The default PIN code for your SIM is dependent upon your network; usually it will be found in a small booklet that came with the SIM card.
The PIN can be enabled, disabled or changed from the Security menu – but you only get three chances to enter it correctly. After those three, the SIM will get locked and can only be unlocked by entering the PUK (PIN Unlocking Key) which your network can give you. Enter the PUK incorrectly 10 times, and the SIM will be irrecoverably locked.
To activate a PIN code request, open the main menu by clicking on the scroll wheel. Click 9 to access the Settings menu and click 6 to enter the Security menu. The first item is PIN code request - click 1 or OK to open it. By default this will be set to off. To activate a PIN request, click 1; you'll now be prompted to enter the four-digit PIN. When you've done this, click OK, and if the pin was correct, you'll see the confirmation message 'Complete'.
To deactivate the PIN code request, you would simply select Off from the menu by pressing 2; you'll need to enter the PIN code whenever you change this setting.
PIN code request prevents another user from using your lost or stolen SIM card in their own phone. To lock your phone, and thus render it useless to a thief, you can activate Phone lock.
Two levels of handset locking are available. The first - called 'When power on' in the Phone lock menu - is to require an unlock code to be entered whenever the handset is switched on. This can be confusing and irritating when used together with the SIM PIN, so a second option is to only request the handset unlock code when the SIM card has been changed - called 'When SIM changed'. This means that if your phone is stolen, the thief can't use their own SIM card in it as the phone will need a PIN code to unlock.
To activate either option, go to the Security menu (clicking 9 for Settings and 6 for Security from the main menu) and click 2 to enter the Phone lock menu. Click 2 to activate When power on or 3 to activate When SIM changed. In either case you'll be prompted to enter the security code. By default this is 0000. Enter the code and click OK to confirm.
To change either code, go to the Security menu again (clicking 9 for Settings and 6 for Security from the main menu) and click 5 to enter the Change codes menu. To change the handset's security code, click 1 to select Security code, or to change the SIM PIN, click 2 to select PIN1 code. In either case you'll be prompted to enter the old code before entering the new code twice, clicking OK to confirm each time.
