I didn't accept you solution since it was a question and there was no place to reply to your question. I didn't want to end our communication. I have Video 2 in the front of the TV with 3 ports- red, white and yellow. In the back of the tv there are 5. 2 Red, 2 White and 1 yellow. I hope its something simple! Thank you for your fast reply to my problem.

RF cable coax out to TV from the RF Modulator .....RCA jacks "red-yellow-white from ps2 to RF modulator "its not called a converter box"//lol Put the TV on channel 3 you should see the ps2 screen. Same way you would hook up a DVD player to a CRT TV..heres a video TVs DVD Players How to Connect TV DVD Player VCR With Modulator
New tv's don't use dead channels like 00 anymore for there inputs.. They use sources to change from different inputs.. Make sure you have your ps2 hooked up into input plugs on the tv and then turn it on the ps2 then look on the new controller for the tv & find a button saying source .. Press that until you see your ps2 on the screen. If not check your connections try again.
yes , you need to be in GAME mode on the TV , since you don't have the remote you can still access GAME mode from the menu button on the front of the TV . you must be in GAME mode for your PS2 to work. thanks
On the TV you should have a video, input or mode button. If you press that button while the PS2 is on it should pickup the signal. You need to be in video mode instead of cable mode since you are using the red, yellow, white cables. Many TVs have a few video modes so press it wait a few seconds and try again if it does not work. Hope this helps:)
First of all try another PS2 cable. Make sure you select the correct input. May be a loose connection inside on the actual video input socket. May also be a faulty video circuit caused by static discharge from an external source (Lightning,Power Surges). The latter will have to be repaired by a repair technician and can be rather costly, so shop around first. Good Luck,JUS004
I would suggest to feed video from another source such as DVD or VCR to the same input, if the video is visible from other sources on your TV; that means the video cable from your PS2 is defective. If you did not see any video from the DVD or VCR nor the PS2, it means that there maybe a loose connection inside the TV on the video input.
Hope this helps.
you have a bad tuner you can replace it or use vcr if you still have one around. hook it up with av cable like your ps2 and hook your cable to it and use it to change channels. If you want to replace the tuner it will require soldering and you will have to order it somewhere. i would try partsore.com. The tuner is the metal can the cable goes into inside the tv.
