When I turn on TV, it just shows Vizio, but does not go forward with on screen with any TV signal.

The main board is out.

You can view the Vizio GV42L Manual to learn how to get to TV mode.

More info would be helpful; model number, signal source, etc.

You probably have not chosen the right 'source' yet.
This would be cable, satellite, or antenna-

Vizio TV model E371VL turned on ok and had tv show on ch.4.
Turned on the DVD player and put movie dvd in and closed tray.
We have done thhis numerous of times and never had a problem.
This time " HDMI " was showing on top right of black screen,
then " No Signal " came up on screen, then went completely black screen. Called Vizio, they had me power off and unplug set.
Push and Hold power button on TV for 30 sec. to reset.
Replug set and Vizio (lighted) on lower front of set lighted normally dull orange. Pushed power button on remote and when set did not come on, then push main power button on side of TV. Nothing, no White " Vizio " from orange light. Is this a power supply (0500-0412-1020) problem ? Thanks, Sidney ([email protected])

The video signal comes from the PC do not match with the input selection to tV.

the problem is on the pc my friend not the tv, right click on the desktop of the pc and click properties or screen resolution then click on screensaver .then change the turn monitor after 30 minutes or whatever its set to , to none. Then your tv wont show no signal as the pc wont be turning off the signal

Have you got anything connected to the TV? If so, make sure they are powered on, and all connected correctly.

If your television is displaying a blue screen or no signal message and then turning off, your TV may be at an inactive input. Here's how you can get back to watching your TV:
1. Powering on your TV and press the INPUT button on the VIZIO remote control repeatedly until a picture re-appears.
2. If this does not work, try again but press the button slower this time.

I got this off the vizio website.

With out turning on the T.V., Push the [Input] button on the remote control. The TV should turn on and activate the input menu, just continue to push [Input] until it is set on TV (or HDMI, etc.). this should solve your problem.
