Here's a link to the manual for the PRO-433. IT has all information you will need to operate the scanner.

Error message when trying to enter frequency codes into the Radio Shack Pro-433... How do I enter the frequency codes I have into this scanner?

The error message almost always means that you have either entered a frequency that's out of your scanner's tuning range, or that you've neglected to enter a decimal point in the frequency. Check your operating manual to verify that the frequencies you're programming are within the unit's tuning range. If you don't already have the manual, you can download/print it here:

The "codes" you refer to are actually radio frequencies. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information, visit:

Would like to add a frequency to a Radio Shack

Absolutely. Just find either an empty channel or one that you want to delete - and program the new frequency. Doing so will not "mess up" any of the other programming.

I have a Radio Shack Pro 433 and the plug on the back on the radio for 12 volts is dead.Where it possible find a New One... Vincent

Sounds like your AC power supply (wall wart) is dead. You can purchase one directly from Radio Shack (they may have to order it) just by telling them it's for the 433. You can also purchase a compatible power supply from UnidenDirect.com (Uniden made the 433 for Radio Shack), or you can find one on eBay. The output specifications for the power supply are 12VDC, 500mA minimum, center (tip) positive.

If this response helps, please take a moment to post a rating for me. "Very Helpful" would be appreciated.
