HI. this code represents a Long Drain issue.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

My washer keeps flashing f02 everytime i do a load of laundry

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

I don't know which posting you're talking about, or any sensor on a manifold. What I do know is that the "F02" error is a Long Drain error code. It usually indicates you have a problem with your drain line(s) or drain pump. The following link explains this:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

Tricking the pump to get it to work some of the time, isn't fixing the problem. Either, the pump impeller or motor are beginning to fail, or you have something obstructing your drain line somewhere. Since the pump IS running, you may assume you have a good electrical connection (you might want to double check it just to be sure). The drain line that many people forget about, however, is the line that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the drain pump. I have personnaly pulled socks and wash cloths out of this line in the past. Small garments can sometimes get caight between the spin basket and wash tub and end up in the drain line. There is a ball valve there to prevent some clogging, but I have still found items there that shouldn't be. In addition, if you are in the habit of washing rugs or extremely dirty items (particularly items covered in soil or sand), all that dirt can also get clogged and pack in this area. If you have checked all these potential clog points and still have a problem, replace the drain pump. You can find a replacement at searspartsdirect.com for about $70. Just type in your model number and locate item number 10 under the "Pump and Motor" heading (part number 8181684).

If you decide to go the route of replacing the drain pump, the following link explains how:

I hope this helps answer some of your questions, and I hope this helps you resolve your problem. If you require addtional assistance, please let me know.
