THERE ARE A FEW STEPS TO THIS.
1) MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SEPERATE FUSE AND ELECTRICAL WIRE LEADING TO YOUR DISHWASHER AREA. ITS REQUIRED BY ELECTRICAL CODE.
2) WILL NEED A WATER LINE RAN OVER TO THE DISHWASHER AREA.
3) YOU WILL NEED A WATER DRAIN LINE RAN OVER TO THE DISHWASHER AREA.
ONCE THESE ARE THERE, THEN ALL THE CONNECTIONS CAN BE MADE.
MOUNTING THE APPLIANCE REQUIRES A CERTAIN SIZE SPACE UNDER THE KITCHEN COUNTER. YOUR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION BOOK WILL TELL YOU THE SIZE REQUIRED
IF THERE WAS NOT ONE THERE BEFORE.

Induction fault e6

E6 - Defect Induction module or over temperature of coil sensor with Falcon User interface with production date before 2010

Defect Induction module
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains for 30 sec. If alarm still occurs after 1 min operation exchange induction module.

Over temperature of coil sensor with Falcon User interface with production date before 2010
- temperature sensor defect or wrong mounted.
  1. Check connector at induction module.
  2. Check the coil sensor, it should be placed even in the silicon carrier.
  3. Appliances with 3 zones, is the "Dummy" temperature sensor at the 2nd terminal mounted?
  4. Exchange coil with sensor.
  5. If above is without success, exchange induction module.

The compressor rattles loudly during normal operations and when jiggled by hand

Most compressors are mounted on rubber mounts that cut noise and prevent metal to metal contact. If the rubber supports are old and shot, that would make all sorts of rattling and banging during starts, stops, and possibly running. Some mounts are spring and rubber cones, Copeland pumps use these. However when the rubber goes, metal hits. Sometimes moving a fridge on it's side will wreck the rubber mounts, but age, ozone, oil, and sometimes hungry critters get to them.

Get the model and serial numbers, go to Sears.com appliance parts and see if there is a parts diagram. You may be able to order a mount kit for under $30. An Appliance parts store will usually beat Sears prices by 40% or more, but sears is a nice place to look up your projects. If the noise is inside the compressor itself, and the fridge is over 7 years old, consider a new fridge, and recycling the old.

SOme compressors are held down with clips, pins, some nuts over special washers, but all are removable.
If you go for changing the rubbers, be careful not to over lift the compressor and kinking a copper tube.

The detector is going off and reading err. message

There have continual problems with this unit. It may be that you have it mounted or plugged-in in the wrong place. As a co detector it should not be mounted in the same room as the gas appliance or wood burning stove. In addition, as a co/gas detector it should NEVER be mounted on the ceiling. A co/gas detector should always be mounted or plugged-in to a wall receptacle that is at least, but not more than 2 feet off the floor and not in the same room as the gas appliance. It will false alarm and give error messages when in fact nothing is wrong. If the problem continues, return it to the place of purchase for a new one.

Vulcan 148L oven burner will not light. pilot on. should pilot flame touch thermocuple?

Yes.

Over time, thermocouples erode in pilot flames and when they no longer reach the pilot light they need to be replaced. Check the thermocouple mountings as well: some ham-fisted amateurs try to bend the probe back into the pilot light and break the mountings. The pilot light jet will also need to be checked to ensure that it is clean and that the pilot is burning correctly.

Note that as with all gas appliances, repairs should only be carried out by qualified gas fitters who have the tools and knowledge to leave your appliance in a safe condition. In many countries it's a legal requirement. My reply is therefore given on an informational basis only as poor workmanship on gas appliances is directly attributable to many deaths every year.

Is it possible to mount the unit upside down on wall brackets, and of course, the dryer still operates satisfactorily? As there does not appear to have pressed openings on the rear panel for bracket...

Hi Don.

All appliances must be installed, used, and also transported and stored with the top side up.

If the dryer is turned upside down the weight of the drum, motor and other parts will not be sustained anymore by the rollers and other structural parts located inside the appliance.
The dryer will start, but it will break down after a short usage.

There are also other safety issues involved.

The dryer cannot be installed upside down.

Regards.

#8 fuse blows as soon as replaced

What ever the fuse is going to has a "direct short" in it. Either somewhere on the wire between the fuse and the appliance it is hooked to there is a bare spot (a place where the wire insulation has worn off) and it is making direct contact with a ground (car body) or the appliance the fuse is hooked up to has been damaged, and has shorted out, and needs to be replaced.

Solution: trace the wire from the fuse to the appliance looking for bare wire, if you find that cover it with electrical tape and problem solved. If not then unhook the appliance and replace the fuse. If the fuse does not blow then the appliance is bad and replace the appliance.
