Hi jag xjs 1993 cd cassette wont eject as no 6 stuck in any hints on how to eject the casestte?

you would have to take the to off of the changer. If you can do that, on top of the cd mechanism is a large gear which slides the trays in and out of the magazine, If you can, move the gear so the tray slides back into the magazine. The changer will probably work once that gear is freed.

1998 vw cd changer reads "chk magazine" or"cd err" help!

Unplug it for about 5 minutes and plug it back in and pray to the vw cd changer Gods to allow it to play again.. By unplugging the unit AT THE UNIT will result in a hard Boot. Now if it is still not happening than it's time to call the repair man, also be sure the magazine is inserted correctly. I couldn't tell you how many customers came in with the magazine upside down, *** backwards, cds loaded upside down, etc but try unplugging it 1st. good luck. but let me ask you why you messing with a changer when you probably don't own but 4 cd's and all your music is on your iPod?? Clarification on CD changer adjustment springs

It depends on how the changer is mounted. The center postion is normally for a changer mounted at about 45 degree angle. There should be a key for you to see what it should be set at. If the changer is vertical, meaning the changer is in an up and down postion and the magazine goes in from the over the top, the springs should be vertical as well. I would suggest that you set the springs to the exact opposite of where it is now since it skips so easy, it is likely that the springs are in the wrong postion right now. So put them in the most extreme change the CD changer will allow. Then it would be likely that the changer would be set correctly. You will find out soon enough, right when you go over a bump that would have caused skipping before. If it does not skip, you got it right.

Error 1 on alpine cha-s364

Quick Note: It's really helpful to your cause if you make sure you include more information about your system and what you're doing to get an error.

It's also a good idea to make sure you type in your model number correctly - you've typed in cha-s364 (the actual model you're talking about "I think" is a CHA-S634 - please verify!!

Here's a link to the user manual

As for the E-01 Error message on your CD Changer:

The E-01 reading is an error message, usually because the changer magazine is jammed in the changer. To manual eject out the magazine, take a thin plastic ruler (at least 5-1/2" in length) and slip it between the bottom of the magazine and the changer. Now, push in. This will hit a release button in the back. If the magazine does not eject, you will need to send the unit in to be serviced. To locate the nearest authorized service center to you call 1-800-ALPINE-1.
Note: if the magazine is half way out, but jammed, DO NOT try to release the magazine. You will need to send the unit in to be serviced by a technician.
