Xerox 8200 thank you for the info and yes I will go to lows this evening and get the lamps u r talking about, then I would love to get this back going asap, I just spent 256.00 on thursday - brought it home friday and hooked it up and got the error code u replied to me on, supposedly the guy said it needed a new maitenance kit, so thats what I paid for plus the labor - total bill was the 256.00, when I called him on friday to tell him it wasn't working, he said he would come out on Monday the 28th and check it out, but that he reset the pram and memory and replaced the maintenance kit and it printed fine for him, so I brought it home.... figures... my luck... but I would love for you to help me get this problem fixed, do you have a contact number or anything that I can contact you as soon as I get the bulbs?

Xerox phaser 8200 fault code 15.004.45:30386

That is a drum heater fault code. The drum heaters are 2 ,,, 150 watt halogen lamps. One or both have burnt out.
You can verify this by shutting the machine off, then turning it back on and look into the fan opening at the right side of the machine. See if you see a glow inside the machine. I doubt you will. if not you will need to replace the lamps. Let me know if you want me to send you info how to change them.

Xerox Phaser 8200 goes through post then hangs.

Sounds like a RAM problem. Go to the back of the machine, You will see  2 large, thumb Screws, Twist them about half a turn and remove the main board. Remove and reinsert the memory stick. If that does not fix it the main board or the electronics module has probably failed.

Error Code: 15.004.45:113654

That code means the drum heaters are not working.
The good news is, yes you can fix it yourself.
The drum heaters are 2, 150 watt halogen lamps. One or both of them have blown out. If you want drop me an E-mail at [email protected]
I will send you instructions how to replace them.
It would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours if you have never done it before. Lowes, Home Depot or any place that sells halogen lamps would have them.
I however, do highly recommend, if you can find them. Sylvania halogen lamps rated for 130 volts and have vibration protection. They cost slightly more, but well worth it. Besides even if you get those, you have less than $15 in the repair.
Let me know, I will send you the info. That's all your problem is.

I can send you instructions on how to replace them. Xerox will want over $250 for an entire heater assembly. You can buy the lamps at Lowes or any place that sells Halogen lamps for around $15 for a set.

Where in Belgium Europe can I find Heating halogen ligths for a 8200 phaser printer. On the old continent we use 220 volts. Xerox asks 200? plus a heavy repair fee ... Thanks for help

If you are able to do the repair yourself, then remove a lamp from the preheater assembly and look at the voltage and wattage on the bulb itself...on some there is also a lamp part number.

you can also order a repair kit from e-bay. The same lamps are used in the Phasers 840, 850, 860 & 8200

Here are 2 links that have what you need (if the internal voltages for the printer are the same in europe as in usa):

Xerox Phaser 8200 error code 15004.45:25393

Yep. The drum heaters are burnt out.
There are 2,,, 150 watt Halogen lamps that heat the drum.
The way to see if they are working or not is to turn off the lights in the office or room the printer is in. Turn the machine on and look through the fan slots on the right side of the machine. GIve it a minute or two and you should see lamps glowing inside, ( I seriously doubt you will see them comming on).
That is a very common problem, You can purchase those lamps at Lowes, Home Depot or anywhere you can purchase halogen lamps. They cost about 12 dollars for a good pair.
Replace both .. If you want to try and do it yourself. Let me know I will send you directions.

Error Code

The normal cause for that is the drum heaters are not comming on.
The easiest way to check for that is to turn the machine on, preferably with the lights off in the office. When you turn the machine on, leave it on for a couple of minutes and look into the openeng where the fan is. You should see the lamps glowing in that opening.
If you don't. Those lamps need replaced. They are simple 120 volt 150 watt halogen lamps you can buy at Lowes or any store that sells halogen lamps.
They are bit time consuming to replace, but if your pretty decent in doing mechanical things, let me know I will write up the procedure for you. Just takes more patience then know how.
