Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player
I just purchased an IPOD classic and updated to v7.7. Every time I hook up the new ipod it gives the computer a fatal error. It does recognize the IPOD USB port. then the ipod itself says its connected. At that point the computer crashes. I've unloaded the software twice, and reloated and "repaired" software once. I am not an IPOD novice as we have a 1st generation 40 GB IPOD (scroll buttons don't manipulate menu anymore) and a nano. I tried to unload and go back to earlier sofware version but then my library says it won't read because it was created in a newer version of itunes.
Try going into the settings screen on the iPod and resetting all settings. If that doesn't work you may be able to use one of the many 3rd party tools available to repair the corrupted data. You may also want to try connecting it to a different computer and running itunes on it there.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
