Fortec Star Lifetime ULTRA Problem
the receiver was working at evening and next day it would not turn on.
(no power). I checked on the rear switch and inside the reciever connection pins and the power seems to be going thru, but it won't turn on.

It looks like you loaded a clone kill bin that was not compatible with your receiver.
It can still be fix by a process call jtag, You will need to have a wire that sells on ebay. This jtag cable connects to you printer port and to a IDC 20 pins connector inside your receiver and most of the time this receivers do not have the connector.
