Weighted cue balls are most commonly used in older Dynamo pool tables. These tables actually have three methods of distinguishing cue balls from numbered balls. They have a shunt for over-sized cue balls, a magnet for magnetic cue balls and a patented designed weighted cue ball return. Billiard balls weigh 6 ounces. The slightly heavier cue ball rolls through the separation interchange, activates a rocker dropping the cue ball into the hairpin turn leading to the head of the pool table.
Yes , this tend to be a bothersome little problem.
The cause of witch is a weak eject motor .
The workaround is to simply smack the top
of the console 1 second after you press eject
this will break the magnetic seal and release the
The best fix is to gap the hold down magnetic in
the upper hub of the drive so the motor can break the
seal with less force . This is what I do and It seems to work.
If you have any questions , feel free to ask before you rate this
The reason is the eject motor is either to weak to break open the magnetic seal created between the spindle and the hub holding the disk firmly in the drive or there is too much friction in the gear assembly causing the motor to stall-out
To get the tray to open press the eject wait one second and then Firmly (HARD) slap the top of your console right over the CD rom drive this will break the seal and release tray allowing it to open.
The console should be open ,the Rom drive removed and open and thoroughly cleaned out .plus I like to gap the hold down magnetic so the eject motor can release the tray with less force.
1 the eject motor is just barley strong enough to break the magnetic seal between the hub and the spindle .
2 When grime and dust starts to build up in the transit gears for the tray eject assembly the frictions is to great for the under powered motor to break the magnetic seal and release the tray.
Two remedy that we have found very effective in eliminating the annoying little problem.
1 The drive will need to be removed and dissembled Then the gear assembly needs to be cleaned out with a small brush and a little Windex. Then we gap and the hold down magnet slightley to insure a clean release and that will prevent the motor from stalling out.

The drive eject motor can't break the magnetic seal holding the cd in the drive. I normally remove the drive clean out the gears , re lube the guides on the tray , and some times gap the magnetic to compensate for the lack of torque need to release the sled and drop the laser assembly and transit the tray open . but a good cleaning will remedy the problem in most cases.
