I have a problem with my hotpoint wf340 1400 spin when i put it on it washes but wont come off the wash cycle and will continue washing unless i stop it manually i then have to select pump out and then a spin cycle to complete a wash.

It is either a broken wire to your heating element or the element itself is open circuit. when the water does not heat the machine will not move onto next stage of wash.

Switch off, put in spin/drain cycle and switch back on; check water is fully drained and then check filter. If not all drained, lower hose to ground level and drain to a bowl.
If you have changed the brushes are satisfied that they are fitted correctly, then it can be a couple of possibilities.
1- The motor itself is faulty.Even though it does the wash o/k it is possible the spin winding is faulty.
2- The prograqmmer is faulty.
Make sure the pump is working o/k, and that all the water has drained out, as this would stop it spinning

The lights are set off by the balance sensors.And if your balance sensors are stopping it from spinning than you first have to make sure the washer is level.You could have bad Shocks and a bad electronic control board,.
check if heating by putting on as hot wash and feeling the door. if no heat, check continuity thro the heater - modern heaters have a non-resettable cut-out in them which can cause problems.
